if any one has suggestions i need help, i need to take up a couple of hundred points still
so far;
hive tyrant: old adversary
tervigon: catalyst, onslaught, toxic sacs, adrenal glands
3 hive guard
venomthorpe
6 warriors: rending claws
24 termaguants
24 termaguants
24 hormaguants
16 ymgarl genestealers
trygon prime
the basic idea was to give every unit the venomthorpe cover save and use the guants as disposable sheids and strenghten them with the tervigons abilities

prime becuase of the assult 12, it on adverage will penetrate an armour 10 vehicle per turn, it works well when you deep strike behind a rhino and leave marines out in the open, it also means i dont have to keep a synapse creature near to it to stop it from reverting to instinctive behavior.

what should i use in terms of taking out a land raidar, the 14 armour is hard to take out and the trygon can do it but it is likely that as soon as i come near the vehicle to terminators will assult him

agreed i tried that before, a couple of lucky shots but again meh. what do you think of this though, i thought i would use distraction units for the trygon in stead. hive tyrant: old adversary tervigon:toxic sacs, catalyst, onslaught, sycthing talons 3 hive guard venomthorpe 3 hive guard 17 genestealers:scything talons, brood lord 24 termaguants 24 hormaguants 24 termaguants 6 warriors: rending claws 4 raveners: rending claws trygon prime Automatically Appended Next Post: the raveners are the distraction units

Just looking at it with my limited nid knowledge...
Hive tyrant is sort of fine, but he would be in the need of a guard or 2. Also, what powers where you planning on using?
The tervigon is also fine, bisic stuff really. But I really really hope you count him as troops...
2x3 Hive guards is fine.
A single venomthrophe...dies to a single missile launcher. Risky, so you might want to add a second one or drop him. (You can make use of spawned gants as cover)
17 Genestealers+Broodlord is a point sink, and probably overkill against most things out there. You're also missing the best upgrade, poison sacs.. Reducing them to some thing like 8+broodlord and swap the talons for sacs will save you around 150p!
Hordes of gants is fine, but the hormos could once again, really need poison sacs.
Warriors with rending claws, they are basic and killy, but rending once again likes poison sacs.
Ravaners are IMO very good and very fast. The only thing I would do would be to add another one.
Trygon...I'm not a fan of the Prime upgrade tbh, it gives synapse, which you have sort of plenty off atm. It gives shots when the big bug wants to be fleeting. And it gives higher ld, which is sort of a moot point. Is it worth 40p? Maybe flesh out the rest of the list first.
And that turned into a greater wall af text than I imaged.

The Prime upgrade is good for the points, and he realistically only has 3 Synapse Broods without it( HT,Warriors,Tervigon). But,what the Trygon Prime upgrade gives you is...
1.Synapse-You really can't have too many synapse creatures out there.
2.Because the Trygon is a synapse creature,it also ensures that you remain in control of him at all times, and don't have to worry about him going nuts and assaulting units you don't want him too.
3.Shadow in the Warp-All enemy psychic tests within 12" of him have to taken on 3d6. Really nice for hamstringing enemy psykers and/or surviving Force Weapons.
4.6 extra S5,AP5 shots-Really good if you decide to Deep Strike him, since he can't assault the turn he comes out. Also, this is a good combo with his Tervigon,as he gave the Tervigon the Onslaught power, which he could use to allow the Trygon to run and shoot at the time. This lets him move 6",run 1d6",dump 12 shots into a unit, and then assault 6".

Raveners are good, however, they are a massive chunk of points. I took 9 once, and they destroyed 10 SMs, and a Command Squad and the Captain, they then ripped a Dread limb from limb with a crazy amount of Rend-Pens.
Now that was a lucky time.
My gargoyles are another loveable unit, and I almost always jam 60 into my lists now, because for the price of a Hormagaunt, you get wings and blinding venom, AND the upgrades are cheaper. They tend to be on your opponent turn 2/3, and can lay down a modest amount of fire before moving to assault.

+1 Str for like 5 points? To autocannons or assault cannons? Hell yea. Then the Reinforced Aegis upgrade for free AND the ability to ignore stunned shaken.. pretty much for free..
Other Dreadnaughts should just go somewhere and be a toaster.
Mattieu~~~~ It's not that eldar are bad, it's that they require a lot of intergration between units. Also, that doesnt prove anything other than GW has a huge hard-on for marines, and, given the option between making a xeno the best psykers or making a marine the best psyker, they will 9 times out of 10 choose the marine.

So if i take out the raveners and take gargoyles would that be more effective? Basicaly i want them to be tie up units for my trygon.
i think the trygon prime is a deffinate i have had experiences where the basic trygon does next too nothing while the trygon prime i have never played a game where it hasn't made almost double its points back. i think for genestealer the ability to re roll 1 to hit is worth it IMO becuase they have so many attacks, taking toxic sacs for genestealers is good but there are more units that they will take out which are toughness 4 which they wound of a 4+ any way so i dont really want to change it. The venomthorpe is a risk but he will be behind the guard and monsterous creatures giving them the save if needed so he is most likely fine but i am going to play test it so thanks for the heads up. the hormagunts are quite weak so toxic sacs would be good but by keeping them at six points i do save points and besides they are just sacrafice units if I need to give them something thats why i took the hive tyrant with old adversay, its maybe expensive but any close units get it so i think is good. i do agree with the tyrant guard and i will see how nessasry they are becuase if i distract an army with a massive imediate threat like the trygon i will divert the fire power. thanks for commenting, i do apreciate it ill have a few test games and finalize my list

3 hive guard
2 hive guard
2 venomthorpe
19 termaguants
20 termaguants
20 hormaguants
17 genestealers: one as a broodlord, all with scything talons
6 warriors: rending claws( replacing devourer)
tervigon: onsluaght, toxic sacs, cluster spines
tervigon: catalyst, adrenal glands, clusterspines
20 gargoyles
trygon prime
P.S. i will not be taking any more toxic sacs than i already have so please dont suggest it

Consider "Flying Circus" - give HQ Wings
Replace warriors with ravs. Assualt 12" vs. 6, and you can run and assault calvary - which ravs are. And you can give them rending claws.
Cut #s in terms, you get spawned ones in addition to whatever you buy.
If you can keep which one of the Tervs to keep straight, go for what you have I can't, so I just would take cat/ts/ag/and stinger. Technically, I'm just now understanding why cluster is better, but I don't believe in it yet(fear of killing my own term wall).
Prime - seems like you already know what and why here.

Seem to be a little all over the place.
Spot on about your Toxin amounts. Toxin on Hormos is great, but what out there is really just t3? Wounding on 4+ instead of 5+ is a joke, unless they also have adrenals or a swarmlord.
Original list has 4 elite choices?
Toughness 4 models should be genestealers, not warriors. Every time i've taken them they get shot to bits before they get there. Make 'em raveners or not at all.
