OK, I borrowed my friend's Blood Angels Codex recently, and came up with a list.

Note that I may have made some mathematical blunders, and forgot ot write down the cost of the Assault Squad. I also don't have the Codex with me, so I can;t do much modification.

HQ:

Captain Marco Santino-Captain with Terminator Armour and Lightning Claws: 160 points.

Elites:

Samael the Vengeful-Furioso Dreadnought with Blood Talons: 125 points.

Assault Terminator squad Regalio-Terminator Assault squad with Lightning Claws, Sergeant Regalio has a Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield: 205 points.

Sanguinary Priest Villius-Sanguinary Priest with Jump Pack, Power Weapon and Melta Bombs: 95 points.

Troops:

Tactical sqaud Argion-Tactical squad with 5 extra Marines, 1 with Multi-Melta, 1 with Flamer, Sergeant Argion has a Chainsword and Teleport Homer: 195 points.

Assault squad Mikaelo- Assault squad with 5 extra Marines, Sergeant Mikaelo has Melta Bombs and a Power Weapon: Can't remember the point's value....Can anyone work it out for me?

Heavy Support:

Stormraven Gunship Harbinger of Extermination-Stormraven Gunship with Twin-Linked Multi-Meltas, Twin-Linked Plasma Cannons and Locator Beacon: 215 points.

Stormraven Gunship Destroyer of Heathens-Stormraven Gunship with Twin-Linked Multi-Meltas and Twin-Linked Plasma Cannons: 200 points.


The idea is that the Stormravens arrive first, Deep-Striking onto the battlefield, and shoot the enemy, softening up resistence. They then fly in and deposit their cargo-1 (the Destroyer of Heathens) has the Dreadnought and the Tactical squad inside. The other has the Assault squad and the Sanguinary Priest inside. The Dreadnought and the Assault squad assault the enemy, whilst the Tactical squad gives ranged support. The Captain and his retinue of Assault Terminators then home in on either the Stormraven Harbinger of Extermination or the Teleport Homer carried by Sergeant Argion. He then steps into the fray and mops up the remaining enemy.

Drop Captain. They're pretty much plain jane, nothing is special about them. Swap out for Librarian. Assault Termies and Assault Marines can handle anti infantry duties so I think the blood talons may be redundant on the dread. Priest should swap PW for Combi since he'll get killed off fast. Swap Tac for assaults, BA are all about assaults and one tac squad doesnt provide much of anything for them. Might want to find a way to get fists and meltas in the assaults. Not a big fan of stormraven assault and the list seems a little troops lite, another assault squad may be useful instead of a raven (plus IIRC you can fit in less people with jump packs in those things)

The Captain get's a 4+ Invulnerable save, and better stats than a Librarian, plus I can give him Lightning Claws. You clearly didn't read that the Sanguinary Priest is going with Assault squad Mikaelo. There is also no penalty for transporting jump infantry in Stormravens. Tactical squad is for close-range fire support for Samael, and for capturing objectives.

Indeed, the Captain has better stats than a Libby, but the latter provides protection against psychic powers and he can choose between some decent powers.
This makes him superior to the Captain who is certainly no cc monster.

Stormravens generally look weak in the codex (200pts for a tank with front armour 12)

Excuse me, how is a fast skimmer that's immune to the effects of the Melta special rule, can transport Dreadnoughts, and can have twin-linked Plasma Cannons weak?
