Now, when I read the deffrolla entry In the ork codex, it said that a battlewagon with a deffrolla causes 1d6 str 10 hits on any enemy unit it tank-shocks, plus an additional 1d6 str 10 hits if the unit elects to death or glory!, or something along those lines. But on dakka dakka, I have seen at least three or four different people, some of wich were experianced players, claiming that the 1d6 str 10 hits applied to when you ram an enemy vehicle. Im a very new player and havent played a game yet, so I havent had a chance to ask anouther player about this yet. So, which one is right?

Also, i heard somewhere that deffrolla's denied armour saves. Is this true?

Both are right.

The Deffrolla inflicts damage on units successfully tank shocked. Ramming is a type of Tank Shock, and so the damage also applies to vehicles that are rammed. This is covered in the Ork FAQ.

The Deffrolla has no listed effect on saves, so they would apply as normal.

Ramming is a type of tank shock - see the Ork FAQ - so the 1D6 S10 hits applies to both tank shocks and rams.

The deffrolla does not deny armour saves although it will prevent FNP saves on many units (due to being double their toughness).

anyone got a link to the ork FAQ used, i don't recall seeing it in the GW one. i have seen this issue hotly debated and hope that what is said here is right, but in the actualy rule book it makes no reference to ramming being a type of tank shock (although i gather it used to in the 4th ed it does not seem to in the current one).

if there is a FAQ that comes down in favor of this i want a copy that i can staple to my chest because i'm sure i don't need to tell you when opponents are faced with D6 S10 attacks on their tanks they really will make themselves blue in the face trying to make sure it doesn't happen!

"Ramming is a special type of tank shock move and is executed the same way..." page 69, top of the second column.

Anyway, the Orks faq is on the GW main site in the gaming articles section. http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1490295a_FAQ_Orks_2010.pdf It's the very last question.

Like said above, both is right.

Whenever you "Tank Shock" a unit... 1 D6 Str 10 hits.

When they decided to "Death or Glory" add another D6 Str 10 hits.

When you "Ram" a vehicle it's 1 D6 Str 10 Hits.

Also note this works on the Necron Monolith, it's Special rule affects Penetration.

So you will be allowed to hit the Monolith up to 6 times.
