Ive been looking at ways to add to my Dark Eldar starter force. The Reavers look like awesome models, and they look interesting on the table top. But as I have not yet even fielded my dark eldar in battle I was wondering if anybody had some experience with them.

I have. And every game they have done well. They excell at eliminating small supporting enemy units. Once they have a pain token (or two) they can support an assault with wyches or hellions (that is why I give the champion a PW) and then towards the end of the game the 36" turboboost makes them great objective contesters!
IMO worth every point and penny. Plus, they look awesome!

Plus, if your opponent isn't suspecting what they can do when they set up, you can fly your reavers right over a unit of something small and just destroy them: my friend ran a unit fully decked out with the D3 attacks for moving over units, plus caltrops and had a whopping 4D3+2D6 hits on my sternguard squad. Killed them faster then I could blink. They really make a mess of any unit on foot if they fly over, and that 3+ cover is pretty nice too.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Turbo boosting gives you 3+ when it's (jet)bikes not vehicles. The downside it you cannot shoot or assault. The best way I've seen them run is 6 strong with 2 heat lances for tank hunting.

Trade rules: lower rep trades ships 1st. - I ship within 2 business days, if it will be longer I will contact you & explain. - I will NOT lie on customs forms, it's a felony, do not ask me to mark sales as "gifts". Free shipping applies to contiguous US states. |

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do. |
