Hi all, was wondering if I could get some feedback on a couple of paint schemes I did up for my Necron army. Not sure which one I like more. I was thinking of going classic necron at first, but then started to play around with my drab greens/khaki and eventually got the guy on the right, which I also kind of like. I'm thinking if I were to do the guy in the middle I would do his arms and legs up the same way as his torso. I think the white is too much of a contrast than what I thought it would be. C&C are always appreciated!

The drab one looks really nice. I'd take the highights up a stage or two, though.

I feel like the middle one has potential if you choose to change out the silver for another brighter color.

Out of these 3 I'd go with the one on the left. Classic grey metal crons look pretty good.

I play necron, go with the left...

I'm actually digging the one on the right. Metallic is so common(even mine are gold), I like the drab and dirty look on that one!

Thanks for the suggestions! Yeah, I kinda agree that I do like the guy on the right more simply because he is different from the norm. I'll just touch up the highlights a little better.

The middle one reminds me more of a cyborg, say something more akin to ghost in the shell, rather than an ageless killing machine. The one on the right seems more realistic, and certainly a step away (in the right direction IMO) from the norm. Go camo necrons!

I'd rate them 1,3,2 from left to right.

I prefer the classic scheme.

I agree. Use the middle one with the white for things such as Pariah's or your Necron Lords.

Do you have any background on your necrons that could help define a colour. If you like the white maybe add in some metallic blues (and if possible blue gauss rods) and create an ice world theme. Or if you want a more traditional metallic scheme make them really grimey and rusty, covered in dirt or sand like they have just arisen from the ground.

No, unfortunately I haven't really thought of much of a background yet. I figured whatever color scheme I chose would determine that in the end. Although if I go with the Drab Necrons, I was thinking going with some sort of death/jungle world idea. Probably going to add mud splotches to their feet and shins then.

I like the torso colour of the middle so yeah, replace the white with that green and keep the metallic parts dirty and oily looking. If you do chose a jungle theme i think the bases would really make them stand out, with some foliage, tall grass and maybe swamp water effects. Unless you wanna try something different and make jungle camo necrons or attempt a jungle stippling effect, that could look cool.
