So, I was going through my boxes of old Space Marine bits I had lying around, and I came across a set of bikes that I hadn't touched since I first started playing. Failing to find any Scouts I could stick on, I begun to look around some more and a sudden thought hit me: I still had a box of Seraphims that I hadn't even opened yet. After some eyeballing, I guessed that it might be possible to stick the sisters on after some delicate cutting and fervent prayers to a higher power.
Would people be willing to go against someone if they fielded Seraphim Sisters on bikes in a friendly in-store game, or should I just keep the Seraphims on their weird little sticks and find some other use for the bikers?

Oy, that's weird. I'm in the same situation. Sort of
I think they'd look really awkward, to be honest. None of them are putting their arms forward, and their heads face the wrong direction But if you can convert it and make it work, go for it

Well, as it stands, their vestment bits would make everything look really strange, but I am confident enough in my skills to make it work. The only problem I can really foresee is getting the torso to lean forwards enough so that it looks like they are riding the bikes and not just laying down on the seats, but I believe there is a workaround.

I would happily play against you. In as much was we would have to consider the bikes as jump packs, you would have to believe my priest on horseback is an infantry model!

I've been playing Warhammer 40,000 since 1988, and am just coming back from a bit of a 10-year hiatus. And please excuse any wild accusations, hallucinations, or outright factual errors, as I am recovering from a serious head injury. And Warhammer 40,000 is part of my therapy. OH YEAH! |

I'm not a fan of the concept, but I wouldn't object to playing against such a unit.

Are they Seraphim in a WH army? Or bikers in a SM army? Cause the first seems like modeling for advantage to me (larger bases), and the second sounds plain creepy (cross dressing Space Marines?). From a pure modelling standpoint, it sounds great. But from a practical, playable standpoint, it sounds too awkward.
