Playing a 1500 point game last night against a friend. We are rolling to see who gets to go first. We rolled the same thing 5 times on 5 different dice. He and I both could not believe it had happened.

Anyone else have similar things happen?

How about me and my brother guessing what eachother were thinking four times in a row.
I've seen two firewarriors killing two destroyers first turn, not in rapid fire range either.
I've seen a unit of firewarriors killing a monolith.
I've seen a unit of marines fail 10 saves in a row.

Also, my first 3 games as BA none of my units (out of about nine) got the Red Thirst :(. The chances of that are 1 in 137. Then again, the chances of you doing the same as your opponent is one in 7776.

I've had it happen a few times, normally I stop counting after the third time though since in my head the rules regarding no re-rolling a re-roll are going off with alarm klaxons.

You do know that if both you and your opponent roll the same thing twice in a row, the game immediately ends in a draw, as you can't reroll a reroll, right?

lol, Ive never heard of the rule about it ending in a draw. Though we did end the game that way, as Neither of us could fully kill they other. And I am so bad at making armor saves I should just play orks the rest of my gaming days.

That is not correct. The rules for rolling to see who go first state that you "roll again" (see page 2 of BGB under Roll-offs). This is different than re-rolling.

Weirdest thing I ever saw was role for deployment type. We both agreed if it was Dawn of War, we would reroll it. We sure enough rolled Dawn of War. Then re rolled three times, still getting DoW. Finally, we decided if it rolled DoW again, it must be fate.

One "6" later...

A common practice at my first FLGS was to roll six dice and get one of each number exactly. while it sounds difficult, nonetheless we would always get that result after 2 rolls or so, except that one guy who apparently took a crap on the dice god's doorstep, as he gets nothing but 1's and 2's.

Interesting... for my own curiosity, the odds of that are as follows:

Die 1 being different from previous * Die 2 being different from previous * Die 3 being different...

(6/6) * (5/6) * (4/6) * (3/6) * (2/6) * (1/6) = 6!/(6^6) = 5!/(6^5) = 120/7776 = 1.54% chance!

I got this mixed in with a bug trade that I did a few months back. Best guess is that it is some form of gaunt arm-wrestling champion.

My record for this is only 3.

The wierdest thing I've had happen would be either in a recent tournament in which, because of mission rules, tournament standing, and a couple good rolls, I wound up going first every game. EVERY GAME my opponent successfully seized the initiative.

That and the one time when I rolled to wound with some power weapons, and this was the end result:

No, this isn't an action shot. Some how the dice rolled across the board and ended up perfectly balanced on its corner.

I rerolled it and got a 1, which, given the results on the rest of the dice...

I actually have a similar gaunt I made a while back. It was during the 3rd ed codex where you could have mutants. I'm guessing that one represented either the Monstrous Strength (forgot the name of the actual Mutation) or Hive Node. Hive Node basically meant that the gaunt was considered a synapse Creature with no other associated Psychic Powers, and was usually represented with a Warrior head on a gaunt body. Monstrous Strength increased the strength of the model by 1 (which I think could be combined with Toxin Sacs to give a Gaunt Strength 5. This was before Toxin Sacs gave you Poison instead of +1 strength) and had to be represented with a suitably larger limb.

I played a game where everytime my brother rolled scatter, he scored a hit everytime. We used my dice after the 4th time, still rolled hits. Any time Id roll them, it wasnt hits. He must of rolled 7 or more hits. It was hilariously not funny for me
