I am trying to find some bases without the two guide bars underneath for cuting a spot out for the Black Reach models. I hope that makes sense. Without them there it's very easy to glue a nickle in there for added weight.

GW do the same sized bases either with or without the slots. GW will be very happy to sell you some slotless bases, but if you have any gaming buddies they're likely to have spares to give or swap.

I used to get them slotless everytime I got a non-black reach set. Now I get them with the slot goove, but it's not cut out. I thought that perhaps GW went with this more universal base, because I just got a kit, and it had the groove on the bottom but not cut out.

I'm guessing it's pure luck, depending on what they have in stock at the assembly factory.
