Who's seen it? Who Like it? Why or why not? Thoughts?
I won't say I loved it, but I definitely more than just like it. Hiccup is great, and Toothless is awesome, the variety of characters and dragons is a lot of fun. There is a good message as well. Voice talent is great, very funny. My kids love it as well, we've maybe watched it 12 times in the last two days.

Damn it.... I read the title hopefully, then remembered this was a movie.....
But seriously, I thought it was pretty good. I rather liked the part where:

It was a really good movie. Not super awesome, but still a nice movie to watch on a drizzly afternoon.

I liked it, but was a bit disappointed at how much it deviated from the book (like, completely)

Saw it in theaters with my (then) 5-year old. Thought it made pretty decent use of 3D, had a great story for a non-Pixar kids film, and had no idea there was a book. Would probably see a sequel if one got made.

I saw that movie in German. Being from northern Germany, I absolutely love the movie, because every character speaks in quite a thick northern German accent. It makes the characters - being vikings - more believable and at the same time incredibly hilarious. From the original post I assume the voice acting in English is quite cool, too, so in whatever language - great film.

Yeah, in English, most of the Vikings have Scottish accents, which works surprisingly well for vikings

Same with me - wasn't expecting much, thought it'd be a dorky kids movie. Was pleasantly surprised at how much detail was in it, and some great moments that made me laugh. I think my favorite was this:
Hiccup: Duh da duh! We're dead.

For a movie with a rather uninspiring title, the Mrs. and I were surprised at how much we enjoyed the movie, and how much our daughters enjoyed it. It's now part of our movie collection.

Good. Watched it on a plane, was pleasantly surprised how good it was... though, I'm kinda bleh about the ending.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

i think they wanted to leave it someone open ended.... as there from what i understand a book series to go along with the movie... so... more books = more movies??? maybe?
