Hey all,

I am an owner of a gaming store here in my home town. A lot of my players have spoken to me and said that they would like me to do painting for them. I've done a few now and they seam to like what i've done. I was just guessing at pricing but i was wondering if you guys had any input. Now bear in mind, these are not competition painting jobs. These are what I call 3' paint jobs, they look good on the table, a little detail, but make you army look good while playing (see my gallery to see my nids and the dark eldar i've done for myself and a customer) Does anyone do this to make some money on the side? What is a normal amount to charge people for figs, vehicles, etc? Any suggestions on pricing would really help me get this going. I've searched the net and have seen some really varied pricing. Thanks for your replies in advance!

Usually per SM sized figure it's $3.50 USD, vehichles around $10-$15. Those are reasonable prices.

General rule of thumb is the same price as the box.

We charge $5 per infantry, $10 for HQs & Heroes, $15-$20 for large, non-vehicle models, and retail for vehicles. We paint infantry to a basic table-top quality similar to your 3-foot paint job idea, and high table-top quality for all the others.
