I'm getting some custom steel bits made to fit on top of the 25mm large bases to magnatize my daemon army for fantasy warhammer. Does anyone know what the mm dimensions of the top of the bases are?

I'm not sure i got that question, but if you're asking what height the base has when laid flat on the table, mine seem to be 4mm after a quick measuring.

No, I think he means what are the dimensions of the 25mm base when measured from the top edge of the base, rather than the bottom (the sides slope slightly you see)

For my part, I have no clue

That is correct Flashman. I am at work, and I'm not sure I have the right kind of measuring instrument when I get home, hence the need to crowd source.

Hmm, good question... it's definitely smaller because of the (draft?) angle on the edges. I have some straight-cut edge bases and they stand out as being quite different.

Also not sure of the dimension, though...

I really really really want to say the top square of a base is 21mm by 21mm.

Would help if someone could confirm that though

You're a little out I'm afraid, according to my measurements they are between 22mm and 22.5mm square.

Of course though this doesn't allow for tolerances and mould shrinkage so I'm sure the range is considerably larger particularly at the end of a moulds life.

I think I'll order 22mm then. If they over hang a little, that should leave plenty of room to still grip the magnets under my round bases. Thank you.
