Hey everyone. I just wanted to know if anyone has a rough ratio of paint to water ratio for making washes with Vallejo model color. Thanks.

I just thought of another question I should have asked in my original post. What is the best way to apply a wash? Is it like applying regular paint, or do I need to do something different? Thanks again.

I just add water until it looks about right.
Apply to the model with a size 2 (ish) brush to see how it's going. Add more water if needed.
Vallejo also make a glaze medium - just add a couple of drops to the mix to make it flow better.
As with most painting techniques, I find trial & error are the best way to learn rather than ratios.
Alsoo note that in different climates (temp & humidity) paints will act slightly differently too.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

It's probably 4:1 water to paint, It really is a trial and error thing. I'd recommend adding some flow aid to the mix, as it will make the paint flow better and slow down the drying time.
