Originally I saw something like this on YTTH a few months ago. A few days ago I thought it would be cool to try making such a list. This list loses lootas (elites slots are used for mega nobz) and tries to make up for it with a load of rokkits. Deff Koptas scout move to provide cover and draw fire on turn 1. Warbosses drive up alone and harass my opponent. All trukks drive 13'' and deposit nobz. This should place them about 8 inches from my opponents deployment zone. If need be they run, otherwise they fire kombi rokkits and waagh on t2. T1 I try to suppress as much as possible and draw fire with deff koptas and warbosses, so that the mega nobz could make it into combat with as few leadership checks as possible (that's why I disembark from the trukks). The nobz are also min size so that as few as possible suffer from the effects of an ld check. What do you guys think, could it work?

I think the classic "Deffwing" army for orks is 3 BWs with deffrollas 2 warbosses and 3 big units of nobz set up for wound allocation with a painboy in each squad and lootas if you have any points left over as you still have 2 elite slots left with this list.

You need two warboss to make the nobz troops choices its kinda the point of the army.

The classic battlewagon list presents only a couple of very resilient targets. With a Meganobz list, I think you need to present multiple small but deadly targets. My list has 10 mobile deadly units (well ok the deff koptas aren't that great but they can disrupt and are very annoying). It might be that trying to go for a msu style list doesn't work with orks. But I'd like to try this out, and thought it would be cool to have a discussion about it here.

Deff Koptas provide cover for the trukks in the first turn, after that the trukks will be empty and just movement blocking/tank shocking and taking pot shots at tanks with the rokkits. I personanlly think that Speed Freak players are too dependent on kff atm. It is an awesome wargear, but not always necessary. In this list dropping a boss would not only drop one meganobz squad but also a mobile str10 power house (the warboss himself) and work against the msu theme.

Played the trukk list against razorwolves today. He got first turn, and I decided to try deploying. Deff koptas scout moved to give cover, but died to the first missiles aimed at them, and the I lost the trukks. I pulled off a draw, and liked the list, but here is an alternative BW list. Comments?
