When Wolf Guard are taken and split apart to lead other units (squad leaders IIRC) do they count as an extra Kill Point or are they part of the squad for that calculation?

They are not independent characters and are part of the unit. As such, the pack + pack leader are a single unit and worth a single kill point.

And the wolf guard dont count as part of the WG unit anymore. Kill the remaining WG in their unit for killpoint, no matter if the separated guy(s) are dead or not.

Also if there are no remaining WG in the Unit; there is no KP for that unit.
And, the WG count fully as part of the unit they are joined to; so WG attached to Troops units are troops for the game, including if they are the only ones left alive(they can claim an objective if their squad dies and they do not flee)
