I'm playing against a Nid player, an Ultra Marine player and a B.A. player on Saturday, so I was looking for a versatile list which could be used against all 3.

I'm a returning veteran and I've only had a couple of games in the last 10 years, so I was looking for something simply but effective.

My idea is this:

Space Wolves Army - Total 1495

Rune Priest 115
Chooser of the Slain, Wolf Tail Talisman
Living Lightning, JotWW

Wolf Lord 155
Frost Blade, Wolf Tail Talisman, Belt of Russ 5

5 Wolf Scouts 80
Melta Gun

3x Wolf Guard 129
3x Combi Melta, 3 x Power Fist

8 Grey Hunters 195
Power Fist, Wolf Banner, Melta Gun, Rhino Transport

9 Grey Hunters 210
Power Fist, Wolf Banner, Melta Gun, Rhino Transport

8 Grey Hunters 195
Power Fist, Wolf Banner, Melta Gun, Rhino Transport

6 Long Fangs 225
6 x Missile Launcher, Razorback (Las + Plasmas)

5 Long Fangs 200
5 x Missile Launcher, Razorback (Las + Plasmas)

In the Long Fang squads, 1 has to be the squad leader. So it would be 6 long fangs - 1 squad leader, 5 missiles, and the other 4 missiles.

Other than that, I would consider droping the extra fist on each hunter pack since the wolf guard already has one, and use the points to give the wolf lord a pack of fenrisian wolves to run with for wound soakage.

I was planning on putting my Lord with the Grey Hunters. The two eight-man squads are to fit a HQ and a Wolf Guard in the Rhino with them.

My idea is having the Scouts turn up behind or near enemy lines as a distraction and move the 2 eight-man squads together and have the 9 man squad supporting, whilst having 1 long fang squad stationary and the other moving in to support the grey hunters.

Looks pretty solid.
I'd suggest squeezing in a shooty Dreadnought if possible and leaving him with your stationary LFs as a firebase. This means your opponent has to choose between units, the Dread can soak up some fire (assuming you have him in cover) and hes a semi competant detterent against weaker units that might try and hop on your LFs, since he can charge and tarpit them.
Drop one WG, 1 GH and change the Razor for a Rhino.
Not sure if that frees enough points, dont have Codex with me.
