Master Tormentor

Sevryn, Rhylyss, and Vysarr are three blighted Nyss brothers, deadly warrior-sorcerers known as the Blackfrost Shard. Together, they bring to bear the ruthless martial prowess of the Nyss and the cold, merciless magic of ice and snow upon the enemies of their Everblight.
Surprised nobody got to this one before me.

Nice figs, the price seems a bit steep though. $10 more than B13th and same cost as the Rhoven's unit, which seems to have a lot more metal on the figs.

They are pretty cool. Too bad the rest of the army doesn't look this nice.

They're definitely some of the best looking Nyss out there.

I kind of like the Swordsmen, the Hex hunters, but the archers are kind of meh.
These guys pull off some of the better aspects of the Nyss look.

Nods. I think, personally, I dislike the excessive chins. I don't mind the sharpening of features, but there's a point where it becomes a bit much. The leader of the legionaires is one of my favorite models, as is the Abbot of the swordsmen.

As a side note, did you know that the Nyss were the names of the Christmas Elves in Scandinavian lore? Tomte and Nisse (and sometimes you'd see them as tomtenisse), were farm elves that would bear gifts at Christmastime (after Christianization in Denmark and Norway).
Carry on.

I did not know that.
I really like the leader model for these guys. I'm so glad they aren't four points like the Black 13th.

Hopefully they will go together more easily than some of the other Nyss units.

You gotta keep in mind the B13 are midgets. Have you seen a B13 fig compared to a trencher? Either the trencher is a giant or the B13 are dwarfs.
I definitely like these sculpts. I want to like the Nyss Hunters and the Legion swordmen (elves?), but the giant chins put me off.

I have the B13th, so I have seen them. The cost of PPs figs seems to raise as the amount of metal and individual parts increases, and as I said on the original post these seem both bigger and more complex than B13th which explains some of the price difference. They should not however be the same size as Rhoven's unit, so the price is increased some since the Legends.
