The Tyranids are like the great Hydra, remove one head, two more will sprout from it's neck equally deadly, they care not for plea for mercy, for they have no soul to care. All that is left in the void of their soul is a hunger, It is this, that the marines cannot kill...

You've only got two synapse creatures...Wouldn't take too long to assault you and then sweeping advance. A few squads of plague marines with flamers then charging should do it. Or a few squads of berzerkers...

Though, I don't know how the newest Tyranid dex works, as I've been out of the game for a little while.

I hope your painting won't get boring!

Tip to make sure the army works out: Spray paint all the models the basic color they will primarily be, and they dip them all in black, then do small details as you go, that is, if gaming is more important than painting..

Cajun Man: um yea kinda hard to assault 240 littlemonsters with Furious Charge, Rerolls to hit/wound of 4+ with counterattack and a great big monster that will stomp you flat xD

A Black Ram: cheers for the advice, im not new to WH but quite new to painting xD so this help thanks.

I think you're going to find plenty of problems against purely mechanized lists. You have all of three units that can hurt them, and any smart player is going to target the few things that can hurt them. Once those three things are dead, you can't touch them and they can pick you slowly apart. I'd say try putting a little more anti-armor in, such as dropping the gargoyles for hive guard, and then you'd have a list that can do some damage even in tournaments.

I've been playing on army builder for the Lulz.

How about 5 Tervigons?
2 as hq, 3 as troops( not sure if you can do that)
3 sqauds of termagants as big as you can make them, with 3x3 zoanthropes as fire support?

just as a start, there is room for must stuff

I've never played nids before, but only been looking into it in theory

if you have good luck, you could ge looking at 300+ models on the board

No Pity, No Remorse! NO FEAR!

The ultimate swarm army is actually Guard. Good effort, though.

Agree on the lack of synapse in that list. Maybe zoanthropes or a tyrygon prime to give some more coverage.

5 Tervigons in the army then Hive Guard would be the ultimate swarm army and will get more synapse. Drop the Tyrannofex and some Termagants and you could probably do it
