I remember a time when people posted actual content on this site instead of links.

Copy and pasting isn't that hard people.

I like the rusting effect, interesting to see how this progresses further to add in the lightning etc.

Can I suggest skipping forward 10 years to the age where you don't really care about what people say on the internet. Studies show that it decreases your anger about life in general by 37%. - Flashman

It is from my blog, I'm only informing you guys about new tutorial.

Click one link isn't that hard.

I guess you didn't read it, only checked pictures, coz it isn't final effect. "Part 1" means something .

, interesting to see how this progresses further to add in the lightning etc.

This mini doesn't have any lighting points, so we must wait for another finished Martins mini.

Personally, I have no problem with people posting links to blogs, though I guess sometimes it might be nice to get a bit of text or a picture or two just to let us know what it's about - plus, you can never be too careful clicking on "unknown" links (though seeing as how this is a blogspot post, it's obviously not "unknown).

As to the mini itself, I think its great. I love Night Lords and think this really conveys the deep blues and ancient, worn power armour. You've also clearly put a lot of effort into descriptions which is nice to see - too many tutorials seem to go 1. Basecoat Blue 2. Highlight lighter blue etc etc. Good to see you've fleshed out your descriptions! Nice tutorial, let us know when you do more!

Ha no worries! Now you've got a picture, I can't see what people have got to complain about now. Looking forward to seeing more of your tutorials!

The weathering is awesome... I like how the marine is posed too.

Great stuff M.ike, I've been following your stuff for some time now, and you've got very nice stuff on your blog.

Thank you for sharing, it's definitely worth a read - although I'm fervently against paint mixing (guess I'm afraid of having an army with different hues) - sources of inspiration are always welcome.

Keep the cool stuff coming!

you have skills at weathering but I feel you overapply the technique to the point it detracts from the model.

less would be more in your case.

Are you rating the value of the tutorial, or the model alone? How did you arrive to this numerical score? Do you have a scoring algorithm, or did "3" just pop into your head? I would like to know more about your criticism.

I give part 1 a 17/10.

How long did it took you to paint the entire model?
