Hi, I am a new player for warhammer 40k, I choose blood angels as my very first army, the following is my army list:

HQ: Reclusiah (with JP, infernes pistol/plasma pistol) 170pts

Troops: Assault Squard (10 men, with flamer x 2, powerfist) 225pts

Assault Squard (10 men, with melta gun x 2, powerfist) 235pts

Assault Squard (10 men, with melta gun x 2, powerfist) 235pts

Elites: Sanguinary Priest x 3 (with JP) 225 pts

total = 1090 pts

Now, this is my core army, but I am struggling with the rest 410 pts. What I am concerning is my army list is lack of fire supports that can kill some of the enermy before my assault marines can reach their targets. Is there any good choice for me to spend the other 410 pts?? Thank you.

Blood Angels' unit point is really expensive : (

Actual blood angels are fairly cheap just look at necrons lol okay so first what kinda army do you want to run? Then we can get going from there

Add in more Assult squads, this is actually a fairly strong list. Deep strike the entire force and you'll be fine.

Well anyway i have a list looks like you are going to Descent of angels (all jump packs) so first off here is a good list at 1,500pts so first we need an HQ so the reclusiarch is awesome but he only helps a squad and is okay for your guy you have a too much upgrades on him dropboth of the pistols (if you keep him)anyway so I think you can the most bang for your buck with a libby with shield and a power of your choice because there are many ways you take the second load out. Alright now we need some sanguinary priests to give us some extra protection to get to combat! 3 with jump packs is good. Now we need troops. I think we need some bodies lets take 3 squads of 10 your build out is very good to do just take ALL meltaguns. Now for some punch take a vanguard squad with jump packs either a squad of 10 or 5 so you can combat squad. give them stormshields , a whole bunch. Take the free power sword glaive thing. and maybe a lightning claw and thats a heavy hitter deep strike them and assault of that turn. Its perfect with a d6 scatter. Also we need some good old melta to hit right before are troops get there and if your lucky you can deepstrike these guys then blow up a land raider and get your vanguard vets to hold them up in combat for ever! I'm taking about honour guard with 4 melta guns when you go higher you can go crazy with different things. In addition with the built in priest and vanguard combo you cangive those vanguard furious charge AND feel no pain on the turn they charge. Also the vets main plan to tie units up. So the list looks like this

Libby w/ JP Shield and Sanguine Sword
Honor Guard Jump Packs x4 Meltaguns
x3 Sanguinary Priests with JPs
x10 Assault Squad with x2 Melta Power fist
x10 Assault Squad with x2 Melta Power fist
x10 Assault Squad with x1 Melta x1 flamer (for crowd control) Power fist
x5 vanguard Veterans with 4 stormshield Glaive Encarmine
This is dead on 1,500pts it is a nice list that I would run! So good luck

dont really like the priests. I'm not a blood angels player, but someone i game regularly. The impression when he beats me is... the priests just get killed if they are left on their own too long and that the gold leader guy and his command squad are indesructable. What kinda guy has a 3+ inv and 2+ armour. Sorry i dont know the names but im sure you know who i mean

Aaah the Sanguinor him and mephiston are really mean!

I love priests they are awesome but really only for a rhino rush team and DoA and how are they left in the open when they can go in a squad

I think he ment they can be singled out in close combat...

I aprove this mans list, Vanguard in a BA list are just broken, broken in a good way.

I hate them being singled out in combat :( oh well thats why i have mephiton and the sanguinor in my 2,000pt list so they are too worried about those two guys

Well you can always take honor guard.... one of the guys is a sanguinary noviate and is built into the unit

so for 125 pts you have veterans with a built in sanguinary preist

the other 4 can take wargear (noviate cant) and the squad can take a chapter banner if you dont have sanguinary guard

You have to pay for JP though and can only take 5 guys so maybe that would be better left for razor spam

would the vanguard benifit from the storm shields when the glaives are 2 handed surely it would 1 or the other or have i missed something please correct me if i'm talking out of my a**e

But glaive encarmines suck.....

(and yes you can give the 4 guys a lightening claw and a meltagun if you want )

they are a free power weapon on the SARGE who does not have a storm shield might as well take that! And yes I do know about honor guard and the priest! It is cool!
