Playing Biel-Tan I'd like my farseer to have white robes I just don't know how to go about it. How do you guys paint your white robes? If you can provide and tutorials and such from sites that would be awesome.

Use astronominican grey as a base and paint over it with thin layers of white until you get a solid white. (leaving the recesses showing astro grey)

I would do a base coat of Astronomicon Grey, then start dry brushing Fortress Grey followed by Skull White.

I prefer the pale blue method.

Start with white then wash with a very thin wash of ice blue then build the raised areas back up to white with thin coats of white.

Example of how this looks here:

I do mine with this:

Basecoat Dark Flesh
Layer Snakebite Leather
Layer (and blend) Dwarf Flesh
Layer (and blend) Elf Flesh
Layer (and blend) Bleached Bone
Highlight with Skull White

Violence is not the answer, but it's always a good guess.

You should pick whether you want a cream base, a grey base or a blue base and go from there. For eldar i recommend the blue method of brother bartius, sounds pretty simple and seems to have good results.

I like:
"Space Wolf" gray base.
SW Gray/White mix in layers, with increasing amounts of white.
Pure white highlights.

Makes a very pretty "pure" looking white.

I normally use Dhenib Stone as a base, then work up as the others have said, as it gives a slightly warmer shade. If you want a really crisp, cold white, though, start with grey.

I have recently been diagnosed with swelling in the brain, so please excuse spelling mistakes and faulty sentences. I am losing my ability to type and talk effectively, but dammit, that is not going to stop me from trying.
