Hi.

I am converting Dark Eldar into Dark Elves - and are looking for inspiration from others that have done the same.

I guess my GoogleFu is weak - as I cannot locate any good references.
Anybody got a tip?

These are my Khainite Cult Fanatics (inspired by a Malus Darkblade book):

Converted from:
- Dark Eldar Mandrakes
- High Elf faces
- Dark Eldar plastic/metal bits
- ForgeWorld bits
- Resin bases (Yes, I have round bases (using LotR movement trays) on my Fantasy Dark Elves)

Anybody got an URL to good posts showing off Dark Eldar -> Dark Elf conversions??

Hey they look pretty good to me, I'd considered how plausible it would be to turn some of the new Dark Eldar kits into elves as lots of them are quite 40k like in their styling. Not a fan of the round bases for fantasy, or how LotR movement trays would quite work but that's just my preference. Looking forward to seeing more!

The only rough idea I had was to see how easy it would be to use some of the jet bike rider bodies to work as dark riders, not sure how I'd do it though...

ps I love your avatar! Reminds me of hobbying back in the day...

I have converted 10 DE warriors into xbow elves and 30-ish wyches into corsairs.
If you use enough fantasy bits (Corsair plastics are perfect) they work fine. Will post when I have painted them.

Might try it.
Will definitely make "Dark Elves WarCrow Riders" out of Hellions and WE Warhawks (converted into giant crows).

Yes
I (dressed in LARP gear) featured in a lot of WD mags.

Painted Fanatics.

Am I the only one who converts Dark Eldar into Dark Elves?
Would love to see other examples...

OH-I Wanna get out of here

Interesting idea, I've only seen it go the other way.

Generally 40k people look to fantasy for cheap alternative plastic kits. This is the first time I've seen it go the other way. The Corsairs look awesome, but I'm kinda doubtful of the Fanatics given the amount of effort. Awesome end result though, love the bleeding effect and the tattered clothes.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.
