According to the codex only company and platoon commands can have them. I heard about the blob tactic of giving all sergeants and commisars power fists, but in the codex you cant arm them with fists, only power weapons. Is there something im missing?

You're right, blobs can't take power fists, what they can and often do take is power swords.

What about commisars? They even have a model with a fists, yet they cant take them?

blob commies cant. Lord commissars can though.

Blob ig is all about the PW attacks that they can put out with the punishment they can take.

Well...if it says in the codex you can't do it I'm a little confused as to why you think you would be able to. You might be mistaking power fists with power weapons, but even so last time I checked codex>internet so...don't believe everything you read online?

Death corps can take power fists.

You take power swords and throw in a few melta bombs so that dreadnoughts and what not don't tarpit you.
