Bunny, I like your pics of the Prince thus far. Congrats on switching to Vallejo - that's ALL I ever use now! Just gets annoying how some colors are runnier than others, and some are super thick (e.g., gunmetal grey). Thought for the back wings of the Prince. Would you consider adding in a hint of purple for the darker shading? May look nice along with the silver. Keep up the good work! I have to admit I'm nervous about what you're going to do with the Eldar - afraid you'll quickly put me to shame with my stuff! LOL

Bunny, where have you been buying your Vallejo's? I could PM you with the place I get mine (<$3/color). Also, if you decide to try the purple on the Prince, you might want to consider trying Vallejo's "Sick Blue" - it's a really deep ark rich purplish blue. "Warlord purple" would be another option - it's a medium tone, slightly reddish purple. This one might blend well with your current blues. I've personally got 41 Vallejo's, most of them are Game Colors. There are different shades in the Game & Model series, I think you'd probably want to stick with the Game Colors. Make sure you REST! We female painters need to take care of ourselves! ;-)

inmygravenimage, I think you may have them reversed. I've got 2 Vallejo's that are really watery, and both are Model Colors. I otherwise haven't noticed much of a difference in the thickness between the two otherwise.

Congrats on the additions to your "family"! Would love to see pics of them! Back to paints - I think you'd be happy with the Game Colors (Vallejo). It's really nice being able to do the blending - 2 drops of one color to 1 drop of another. For when you DO have more moolah - check out TheWarStore.com; Neal has ALL the Vallejo colors (I think), and they're only $2.59 each. I think you'll be pleased with the color range. Their customer support is awesome as well.

Hey, bunny - I just got a unit of Swooping Hawks, assembeled & primed them. Hope to have them finished next weekend & will post pics on my blog, would love to hear what you think of them - so please check it out next weekend. I'll send you a PM as a reminder, if you like!

Nice job, bunny! Glad you got more of the Vallejo's. Look forward to seeing what's up next!

P.S. Sorry to hear about your Orks, but I'm sure that your army was prettier than the other armies were! ;-D

Nice so far! How many Eldar squads do you have, in addition to the DA's & Serpent? And another question for you. Do you have a pre-made wash, or are you making your own? I've been making my own, but am considerinng buying a Vallejo pre-made wash...

For me, it would depend on what color you're doing the shuriken catapults. If you're going to stay with white/grey tones, I'd do the tabards the orange to tie in with the helmet crests. Can't wait to see what you pick! :-D

bunny, they look great! Personally, for the DA's, I'd go for the orange. The whilte just doesn't "pop" as much as the orange, and it DOES tie in better with the helmets (takes your eye up & down the minis). As for the minotaur, I love the shading you're doing with him! Where do you find these minis? I'm starting to get the itch to start painting stuff other than my Eldar now! As for your comment re: brushes. I've been getting cheapo detail brush sets from HobbyLobby or even Wal-Mart; theyre cheap, hold paint well, and if they start to fall apart - it's no big deal because you only paid a few $$ for 5-6 brushes. My last set I got from Wal-Mart has been working well for over a month.

bunny, thanks for the bum shot! It's cute! As for the symbol on his arm, I'd recommend using a little more brown in the shade immediately surrounding it - or perhaps even just a brown wash over/arround the symbol. Would look more like scar tissue that way. Other idea would be to lighten the shade immediately arround it and do the brown wash on top...

bunny, the DA's look really good - like the blue/orange combo. As for your helper, he's adorable! Sure he wasn't trying to look like your pufferfish in the pic? LOL!

bunny, you don't have a smart phone that you could use instead of a computer? I think there willl be a lot of very sad people if you don't post for a whole month! :-(

Hey - maybe we can scare up an old computer for you from the blog readers. Wish I had an extra one that worked. Can't your soon-to-be-ex get you an older computer as a parting gift?

bunny, hope you don't mind my using your thread to ask for some votes. For readers, I've got 2 Wraithguard that are finished - one with the eye of Isha on the head, one with the eye on the tabard. I need to know which is the overwhelming favorite location before I finish the rest of the squad. Please jump over to my blog & look at the last page. Thanks!
P.S. bunny, thanks for your vote!

Ooh! Have fun with the diorama. How long is your mom going to be with you? It's so terribly nice of her to let you use her computer! Hope you didn't go through withdrawal! Look forward to seeing pics.

bunnygurl, you make me laugh! If youi're anything like me, you're looking at all the primed stuff and trying to figure out where to begin! Have fun with the Dreadfleet stuff - can't wait to see what you do with them.

How's Nurgle coming along? The ships are looking splendid. I agree with you about the fire elemental - I'd try the red wash. And possibly increasing the contrast with the wind one. What color scheme are you going to use with your Guardians? And I'm curious as to why you're doing the EML instead of one of the other weapons (or would you magnetize them).
