I got a Valkyrie for Christmas and I couldn't help but paint it up ASAP! I decided to assemble mine without door gunners, and with missile pods. Anyway, here we go:

Base detail - gotta shake off that grass!

And the pilots and cockpit before I glued it down:

I like all the cockpit details you put into it! Were you planning on adding any markings? With that green you are using, a yellow stripe on the wings or tail booms would really set it off.

I've been thinking of doing the Vietnam-style shark teeth on the side but I'm really nervous about my freehanding skills :( I may add some sort of stripes on the booms or tail later, but I'm happy with where it is now.

Looks very good, appropriately damaged. Did you do the interior as well or no?

I didn't; I glued the doors shut for this one. If I get a second I may try the interior, since there's so much detail in there.

Yeah it's pretty crazy, I painted one and decieded to do the interior. What sucks is unlike a rhino or even a land raider, half of the stuff you paint will NEVER be seen. I did make one door gunner and a crew chief on mine, so it wasnt all too bad.

I have a lurking desire to make Stormtroopers out of the doorgunners...

Come to think of it, that would probaly be the best use. At least get press molds of their leg armor, that way you could armor up some normal guard legs for dynamic poses.
