Anyone from around the Myrtle Beach or Conway, South Carolina area know any place where someone can play Warhammer 40k regularly?

Hi, Vanri. I live in Charleston, and although I don't really play, just paint, I've noticed that there is not much support for wargamers in SC. My options to buy minis or paints is so limited down here it's absurd. I think there's a place in Greenville called Borderlands that host games and such, but that's too far of a drive imo. Good luck on your search.

Sweet! Thanks Moltar! Also, after some looking on my own, I found a place down here that is an actual licensed GW dealer that plays on Saturdays. It's in Myrtle Beach. Link to site here. They even have full on Paint Days on Thursdays. It's pretty sweet and I can probably learn a few things from some of the local players and painters.

Check the area in Wilmington. I'm up in Jacksonville, NC right now for a month or so before I deploy.

Corsair Comics is the only place that really has any regular games in MB and there's a decent bit of interest in 40k. Dueling Ground (in Surfside) is supposedly looking into getting back into the GW hobbies as well since they used to be the big seller in Myrtle Beach but a few years back they liquidated all their inventory.

Anywho, if you ever make your way to Columbia, Heroes & Dragons is a store that hosts tourneys at least once a month.

Thanks for the info! I heard about Corsair, but I probably need to get everything up and painted before I can really start. Also, I heard that Dueling Grounds shut down recently. Any truth to that rumour? I know that Alpha Omega Computers (also in Surfside) is thinking about starting weekly games, but they need more interest. They're also doing Friday Night Magic, ect. They said that they're becoming more game oriented since the aforementioned shut-down of Dueling Grounds.

Ah, yeah. I totally had forgotten that. It happened less than two weeks ago, but yes it is true.

I had seen online that AO is looking into doing that. Hopefully somewhere in Myrtle Beach will actually get a decent supply of Fantasy stuff going soon. Corsair subsists largely off the comics and 40k stuff.

Well, Corsair does have a fair sized supply of Warhammer Fantasy minis, just not a lot of interest in playing, I guess. From what I've gathered, they're primarily for people wanting to do some custom minis or conversions. However, they're moving their game/paint days to Wednesdays, I'm hearing. That's really useful to me, considering I usually have classes until 5 on Thursdays.

We meet every saturday to play 40k and record our show. We run a weekly podcast about 40k out of Conway. You have two options in myrtle beach Corsair Comics at the very end of 501, and Alpha Omega in Surfside (http://pcngaming.com/gaming/).
The two stores are alternating game night at each others' store.

You just missed our 50 man tournament in november at the Grand Atlantic resort hotel.

We maybe doing a tournament for Corsair Comics at their X-Con.
