Well, I got my Dark Eldar army, and set about painting them! Here is the first glimpse of the ones I have painted.

The wyches look good , i'd try to pick out the details on the wyches torso , abit , my only criticism is the bases , personally i don't like the plain old stlye green , but thats me

I'm planning on adding some texture to the top of the bases when I finish the whole force. Probably sand or something.

In all honesty, I have a hard time commenting on the minis, as I can't really see anything. That first picture is WAY bad.

Basic photography advice:
1) Use your camera's "Macro" setting. Camera doesn't have one? Get one that does, asap. Even most of the cheapo $70 - $80 cameras have macro.
2) Do NOT use the camera's flash. Use an overhead source, like a desk lamp, that you can keep RIGHT ABOVE and in front of the model you're photographing.
3) Use daylight bulbs in that lamp. Regular bulbs tend to give your pics a yellowish hue.
4) Set your camera for "sunlight."

What I can see of their flesh in the last picture looks like you got the "pale" right. You may want to work on shadows and highlights, though.

MagickalMemories, I couldn't have said it better myself.

Your colors are very flat; try using some washes. That red could benefit from either a Baal Red, Gryphonne Sepia, or Devlan Mud wash. That neon green is also really awful for basing. Bases should be a more muted color, and should direct attention to the minis, not the basing itself.

I'm not using citadel paints, because I don't have any. Though I will probably do a Devlan Mud wash.

As far as the picture goes, I did put in a caption. I am highly aware of the pictures.

You're a machine at painting! You did all that in a week?! I am still working through my squad of wyches (i can only bring myself to batch a max of five). I don't know if you haven't painted your raider for the same reason as me: I have no idea how i'm gonna do it! I wish they were like guard tanks: Spray colour, Drybrush, drybrush and drybrush some more. Maybe add some sand to the bases? Take a handful from one of those massive sacks next time you're near a building site, It's what i did! 8-).

It looks like you didn't prime them.

I really like how the bright blue looks with drab reds and blacks.. Looking forward to the completed project.

I primed them with a light grey. I had trouble with my priming colors on my Tau, so I decided to try a more neutral color.

When I finish the whole army I will post *better* pictures.

as far as me being a machine, I just did a few a day, assembly line style. I'd paint on one color on each model, then move on to the next. I mean I will still have to do a wash, but I was just showing the over all theme I wanted.

I still have no clue what I will do for my vehicles.
