My local Tesco has just started carrying Gorilla Glue (various types) at a decent introductory rate. How does it compare to other brands of superglue? All thoughts gratefully received.

Their superglue variant works just like other superglue.
The tacky brown stuff bubbles when exposed to water, and forms a very strong bond. It can actually provide excellent tabletop quality basing if you use it to glue the minis to their bases. It has a very bubbly texture when dry, almost like pumice, or volcanic rock. It takes paint well.

Beware however that Gorilla glue (The brown traditional glue) expands so therefore is not intended for putting models together etc.
However the SuperGlue is just that. Superglue. Bigger bottle and cheaper then buying GW / Armypainter etc. Good stuff.

It's strong enough it can stick air to gravity . I've never used it for my minis but I used it on my ukuleles (my other hobby, I make them.) And I think the only stronger bond I've ever found is cement.

Thanks for the prompt replies, folks (and the basing tip, Gitzbitah!).
Guess I'll give it a try.

I worked in a hardware store when Gorilla Glue first came out, when they just sold the brown stuff. I will tell you that it is fantastic. All of it. I have a bottle of Brown, Wood, and Super Glues around my house.
I have used the Super Glue on my figures, and it works just fine, better than cheaper super glues that i have tried, but just as good as any product you can find made by citadel or GW.
The wood glue i have used on terrain repair at my (old) local game store ((where i used to work as well)) that worked fantastic.
I would use EXTREME caution on the brown glue though, do not use on your figures. while the bond it forms is incredibly strong, it should go no where near your figures.
Just be sure to read all the instructions and FOLLOW them, you will have no problems.

The super glue is good. It comes in a big bottle and so far the neck hasnt clogged up like alot of other glues.

I only use 2 glues; Testors plastic glue and Gorilla Glue super glue.
I disagree with the posters above who said it's just like or as good as regular superglue. In fact, it isn't. It is better. It's a bit more shock resistant.
IIRC, there's a higher rubber content to the glue than most superglues.
It dries VERY securely, and the "no clog" tip has only ever clogged on me once - but it was totally my fault.

This is worth repeating- the brown stuff does swell in proportion to the water used. Experiment with some blobs and water on paper before you try to use it for basing. Otherwise, it may well cover the mini to the waist! Even then, it should only be used on expendable models, as the process is somewhat unreliable in my experience.

Also, when using the brown glue... don't get it on your skin. I don't know about some of you guys out there, but it turns my skin read and really really itchy.
