I am about to start playing WHFB after years playing in the 40K universe. I have chosen the Beastmen army, and have just got my first order in. I am currently assembling Bestigors, Ungors, and Gors. What weapons should I assemble them with? Spears, bows, clubs, or spears... does one offer an advantage over the other? I don't know much about the WHFB game, and just looking for some advice so I wont have to tear these minis apart in a few months.

Thanks,

You should probably hook this into tactics, as you will have more responses, This section is more about what rules mean than how to equip your army.

"Clubs" are basic hand weapons. They are what the model comes with, and so are "free". they have no special properties, until you combine them with a shield and are in close combat when they give you a "parry" save

Spears let you fight with one more rank than normal, as long as you didnt charge that round. So it lets you fight in 3 ranks (1 normal, 1 for supporting attacks, one extra for spears) - fantasy fighting is based on models in base to base, in "ranks", not the 2" zone like in 40k

Bows are for one uinit only, whcih are skirmishing (like 40k) unit which are OK shots. they are cheap, can run ahead of your lines and shoot, and are mainly a harrying unit. They arent very good in combat, but can take on other "shooty" units and lightly armoured troops.
