As an afterthought: Though I kid (and harshly, admittedly), I would really like to know why the OP made a new forum?

What is wrong with Dakka and the "fourma ad nauseum" (to butcher some latin) that are already in existence, with dedicated contributors/mods? What are your motives/goals by doing this? How are you bringing something new to the table? Are you prepared to actually administer it; to deal with the security issues out of the box bbcode, php, sql, and etc. have?

Also, you probably should let people be able to request to join the Moderators group. While not a problem as it appears to require group admin permission, it just doesn't feel very clean. It's like leaving an admin login section on a blog or something.

Word of advice. Listen to the tips that the website gives you.

"DON'T make a lot of categories, because it makes your forum look sparse" If I remember correctly.
