With the F.A.Q rules about stealth is really simple, I understand the fact that if one models has stealth the rest of the unit will benefit. My question does that same unit benefit with the outflank as well, if one of the model has the outflank rule?

Saga of the Hunter does not say that the unit can outflank. No benefit to the IC's unit is specified.

In contrast, Stealth specifies a benefit and specifies that that benefit applies to the unit.

Stealth's FAQ answer therefore does not change how Saga of the Hunter works.

No, not really.

Stealth gets conferred because of the way stealth is worded: "all of the unit's cover saves are improved..." so 1 model in a unit having stealth confers the bonus to every model in the unit.

Outflank is itself not a special rule and needs to be unlocked by some special rule. Saga of the hunter grants the ability to outflank by the saga itself any unit that the IC with Saga of the hunter wishes to outflank would have to have it's own special rule that unlocks outflank(Infiltrate or Scouts).

Technically according to RAW the Wolf Scouts themselves would lose the outflank ability when an IC with Saga of the hunter joins them, because none of the SW ICs have any way to gain either infiltrate or Scouts(which are USRs lost by units/ics when the ICs join the unit and one of them does not have those Special rules); however GW FAQ says that a Saga of the hunter bearing IC joining Wolf scouts can in fact outflank with them(ignoring their own rule, but then it is their game). This is the only way that the Saga of the Hunter can outflank with a unit(if said unit has infiltrate, Scouts, or some other currently unknown special rule granting the outflank ability).

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

This is what I hate about English. People interpret the same sentence or in this case a rule a hundred different ways.

@ Kommissar Kel: I respectfully disagree... I just don't have the energy to fight the battle.

When in doubt.........Duck!

Even in the far future there can still be heroes...

Bikeninja - if you could explain why you disagree it would help, even if you dont want to carry on a debate further than that.

Hell, even what you disagree with would be good - I presume an Outflank IC not being able to technically join scouts?
