Ewww, why? I mean, I suppose it'll help my ranking, but it wasn't the sort of event that indicates a lot, from the "I kick butt" perspective.

I didn't play, but since you did this they updated their rankings and now I'm Tau best general! Which is actually kind of sad, and doesn't make any sense...but i'll take it. Hah.

I have not had confirmation yet that the tournament has been posted.

Maybe what happened is that the previous #1 Tau player had a tournament drop off the rankings because it is over a year old and so now you have jumped up past him.

What happened was I was in one tournament with a different first name than the other tournament. They fixed it for me but it didn't show up in the overall rankings - they told me it would once it was updated. I guess they don't update the rankings unless there's a new tournament so you added Da Grand WAAAGH! and...viola! Obviously some other tournament may have been added to get them to update the rankings, I just hadn't bothered to check it until I saw this thread. Anyway, it was just amusing more than anything, I'm only best general because I'm the only person who actually played Tau in TWO tournaments.

DGW hasn't shown up in the rankings yet.

I am playing my bugs in at least one big tournament this season, Janthkin, maybe I can give you a run for you money as top Bug player!

I really dont get how the scorng is done on that site. I understand some tournaments arent scored and that can skew results, but of the tourneys that are scored some of the points seem off. Take #39 and #40 for example. Both players were at the same tourney and #39 finished 18th and #40 finished 7th. Points seem consistent so ok lets look at their other tournaments. #39 finished 16th out of a 47 player tourney while #40 finished 7th at Adepticon(110 players). Now somehow the 16th place finish is worth more at a smaller tourney.

Now I havent gone through all of the figures or anything but it just seems odd how the points were awarded there. Now I only caught this discrepency because I played both of those two at BOLS.....er Wargamescon, and I wonder how many other "annomilies" are in the points.

Adepticon's 40k Championship in 2010 was a 3-round event; the Broadside Bash is a 5 round event. Point are weighted to allow longer events to be worth more.

But don't take it too seriously; not eve Reecius does that.

What I find funny is the top US player is a Canadian
