I'm for the most part a Mary Sue Saint, but punching that reporter and shoving the mercs through windows are nice and acceptable breaks from sainthood.

Some games I just can't play as an evil character (Mass Effect and Fallout are great examples), while in other games I can't get enough of nurturing my inner socio path (Saints Row 2 yo!)

Besides, it's not like Paragon Shepard was any less of a jerk when people deserved it.

I'm just playing one at the moment (yeah I know a little behind with the times) but I love the options through the conversations.
Trying for Paragon this first time, and I'm not one hundred percent how I'm doing. Two bars full and I've only done the Ice base so far after the initial part.
Doing the war torn base 'Ferris?' at the moment.
If I can do it, the plan is to do a Duke Nukem type play through the second time.
Although I have ME2 sitting on the shelf for when I get this first play done, so the second meaner go may have to wait a bit.

Paragon Shepard bull rushes the reporter in number two, towering over her and forcing her to back down through sheer strength of personality. You can hear her mutter about it afterwards. "Great, bull rushed on my own show... did you get that?"

Shepard is the man no matter how you play him IMO.
I have one complaint from the first game. As Female Shepard, I could not sleep with Wrex. This irked me, because Wrex was the manliest character on the ship next to Female Shepard, and Ashley Williams
No, I had to chose that girlie man Alinko guy. Female Shepard was disappointed with his performance, and realized she was only settling. Wrex will always be her soulmate.

You should have chosen Liara, because there's nothing manlier than bedding a hot scientist chick, right?

Who? Wrex? If you find his family armour it helps out a lot.

I went through both games and not a single member of my crew died aside from Alenko, who I never used anyway.

Loved both games, was mostly a paragon for the most part but would occasionally stray to the dark side every now and then. Heheh I loved shooting Conrad in the foot the most XD.

ME1 had bad combat, but ME2 fixed that. ME1 also had boring sidemissions, also fixed in ME2. If anything it's at least worth finishing ME1 so your choices carry over into 2 though.
I'm doing a second playthrough of ME1 and the combat is seriously making me cry. It's just so much smoother and more enjoyable in ME2. The side missions are pretty lame in ME1. ME1, go to generic world 753 and find Wrex's armor. ME2, go to the Krogan Homeworld, headbutt some Krogan, and help Grunt through his Rite of Passage.
And I swear, I've died more times from the stupid Mako doing random 180 degree turns off of ledges than anything else.

My biggest problem was that at about level 20-25 i was better off getting out and shooting.
