A pet project I've been doing for the past few months, the army is almost completed but now I've run into a dilemma: What units more could I use to theme out a World Eater legion?
As of now I have:
Berzerkers for Grey Hunters
Possessed for Mark of the Wulfen
Chaos Marines on Juggernauts for Thunderwolves
Chaos Lord terminators for Lone Wolves
Small havoc groupings for Long Fangs
Robed Marines for Wolf Guard
And that is the best I could think of. I've dabbled in the idea of having a Rune Priest by means of a Chaos Lord using a daemon weapon for the 'powers' and his psychic test would be to gain control over the blade, and being Khorne it fits with the 'Psychic powers!? Not in my 24" bubble!' But other than that I'm tapped for ideas.
If anyone can think of other ideas to help flesh out the army I'd greatly appreciate it.

What else do you need? Rhinos/Vindis/And Preds are a straight shot to the Chaos Version. Except now you can also take Razorbacks and assault cannons! You could use cultists as Wolf Scouts, Chaos Hounds for Fenrisian Wolves and Dreadclaws for drop pods. I don't know about the robed Wolf Guard- I would probably just make them Blood/Skull Champions. Khorne is not big on psykers, but a Skull Priest would be okay- I wouldn't recomend more than one for fluffiness, though. Don't forget you can also mimic Khorne's anti psyker bent with Wolf Tail Talismans modelled as Skull Talimans, Talismans of Blood, Runes of Slaughter, etc.

Oh definitely on the wolf talisman for a collar of khorne, I also thought of Flesh Hounds for fenris wolves. A friend suggested I do some Blood Pack troopers for scouts but idk.

Why don't you just use the CSM codex? you don't seem to be making a particularly fluffy army nor one that uses non-codex units.

I would have no problem with this. Just make sure the weaponry is wyswyg.

Being unable to use alot of models from my 3rd ed army hurt a bit and I just love the customization option for the Wolf Lords.
Also, the robed marines would be the Lord's retinue of seasoned killers *power weapons, storm shields for his shield bearers, it's a gladiator theme as there are some marauder bits with flails, giant two handers for powerfists, etc*
Mixed in Warriors of Chaos bits with marines but yes, everything is painstakingly wysiwyg or easily clarified.

Blood Claws might be a better representation for the Berserkers imo. Bloodcrusher Daemons (not zerkers riding juggs) can represent TWC perfectly. You need some element of Khorne Daemon for a World Eaters warband. On that note, I dont see the robed marines nor the havocs as being fluffy, as World Eaters (at least in the older fluff) have a distain for ranged combat and I doubt they wear robes. Might work for a small Detachment of Fallen though (as the DA's Schtick was ranged combat before, especially with plasma cannons).

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do. |

probably because legion armies are at a major disadvantage if you use the C: CSM and it does actually seem fluffy.
i would say that blood claws make more sence as bezerkers
i think the idea of a unit or two of blood pact troops that had to fight in a massive tournement to have the honour to serve in a World Eater's warband is good, maybe with them recieving alterations to bring them to scout spec.
using the runelord as an anti-pysker warrior would be good
i'm not sure about the robes though
