Hey all.

A little while ago I put up a load of Orky scratchbuilds and kit bashes i made. (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/276526.page). I got some really good feedback and ideas from that thread, so I thought I would share with you guys the progress I have made so far with my Scratchbuilt stompa. I have seen some truly spectacular stompy scratchbuilds on the interwebs (and some really really bad ones!), so im not expecting this to turn out amazing, I just thought it would be a fun project.







As you can see, Its early days yet, but i have run low on bits and cant continue till my mail order arrives, but you can get some idea of where this is going. I imagine it will be a quite a bit shorter than the GW one, but still viable as a game-piece.

Expect updates here as I progress with the build.

Hm it might make a good scratch built mega dredd but that is yust to small for a stompa sorry for the harsh critique. it looks like a very nice attempt at a mega dredd though.

Yeah, bro, by the looks of it this is far too small for a Stompa. It's the perfect size for a Mega Dredd though!

hmmm, I think you guys are quite right.

Ill see how it goes as the build goes on. Ill try and bulk it up a bit, but if not, Ill be happy with a mega dread.

You could use the chassis as a foot, and start a Stompa

Which should give you a good idea about just how big Stompas are.

You might want to check out 'Da Gargant Owner's Club'. It's a pretty sleepy forum, and a lot of it's fan-made fluff and rules, but there's some useful scale charts in there too.
