Which space marine tank is best at dealing with tanks and hordes?
At the moment im thinking land raider

Haha, if somthing could deal effectively with both tanks and hordes, expect it to be either VERY expensive, or other set backs.


but IMO, land raider crusader. flame storm AND twin linked assault cannon? yum. The amount of times rending Assault cannons have popped my transports is quite heart breaking.

And I would say the crusaders: 3 twin-linked bolters, twin-linked assault cannon, and a multi-melta? FTW!

Land Raider Achilles - Sports a Thunderfire Cannon, and 2 Twin-linked Multi-meltas. It's dead 'ard, to boot!

In actual seriousness, I'd go with either a Land Raider Redeemer with Multi-Melta (Assault Cannon is good for both, Multi-melta can deal with tanks, and the Flamestorms can deal with hordes of any type wearing power armor or worse), or the Vindicator (That demolisher cannon can be a miracle worker if you use it right).

Your question is slightly ambiguous.
In one single set-up, a vindicator will give you the best bet.
But a predator can also be devastating against tanks and hordes - but not at the same time -depending on how you equip it.

my Chaos Pred with dual las can turret, auto cannon sponsons and hvy bolter works well.

Whirlwinds are cheap and effective vs hordes, same with LRC's. LR Redeemers are also quite effective as well.

Land Raider Crusader w/ Multi-melta. With PotMS, you can move 6" and fire every single weapon. Or you can move 12" and fire MM or Asscan and both Hurricane bolters. The best of both worlds (no Hannah Montana jokes please).

L_Dawg- probably the most point inefficient setup short of tri-las (which is much better as a specialized tool).

LRs should not be your swiss army knife. Most selections excel when they prioritize their strengths. If you want anti-horde, roll in some AC/HB predators. If you want anti tank, I suggest leaving it to your melta squads, although the AC can handle light vehicles.
