So, let's get this party started. I'm doing a greatcoated Imperial Guard army using primarily the Wargames Factory greatcoated Shock Troopers for bodies, Pig Iron Kolony Militia winter heads for headgear, and standard GW bits for weapons, vehicles, and themes. Painting inspiration comes from the forces of Khador from the Warmachine universe. I'm trying to go for a look that is dark and brooding, but at the same crisp and clean. The fluff I'm working on, but is a mix of Russian and Baltic culture/mythology, with some Soviet flavoring.

I'm planning on starting at 1,000 points and building up to question marks. Right now, my army list stands at the following (roughly):

1 Command Squad, 4 plasma guns, Master of Ordnance

3 Veterans squads, each with 3 plasma guns and a chimera

1 Leman Russ Battle Tank

1 Leman Russ Demolisher.

From there, I am going to spool up to 1500 using a Manticore as well as 2 full-strength battle psycher squads mounted in Chimeras to give me those delicious large template, 36 range, strength 9 psychic blasts.

But, anyway, here goes. The first batch so far.

The Manticore Conversion

The Launcher

The Troopers

More pictures will be forthcoming, once I get my damn camera to take less blurry photos!
