I need a Death Korp of Krieg army. Like food, warmth, shelter. I need one.

It has gotten so bad that I've filled a cart up on the FW website numerous times and simply hovered over the last button to accept the sale- almost pressing it..almost. A flicker of sanity saves me at the very last moment when I see how much it will cost to buy and ship (to the states) these guys brand new.

But the need remains.

Does anyone know a cheap way to acquire these models without picking them up from FW? I scour Swap Shop, Ebay and Rogue-Market in hopes of finding someone looking to sale reasonably- but alas, no.

Are there DKoK variants out there made from other companies? Does FW ever offer any specials on their models? Anyone crazy enough to part with their Dkok? Do I just need to sale more blood? =)

There are the plastic Greatcoats from Wargames Factory.. they are like 90% Krieg-esque and a lot of folks use them to get their Greatcoat fix..

http://wargamesfactory.com/wargames-factory-store/shock-troops-sci-fi-greatcoat-troopers

They don't have the Gas-mask heads that the Death Korps do, but they do have varient heads.. and you can always use Pig Iron heads..

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

The WGF Greatcoats are just not on the same level IMO.

...sadly no, there really is no way to get them cheap. Most people who have them don't sell them, and Forge World doesn't who wholesale.

Any chance I could toss a brick through the window and make off with what I want without getting caught?

Now...how much would a ticket over seas cost...

Ok, this plan has become more expensive then just buying them!

Thank you for the suggestions- but yeah. I agree. There is simply no substitute for Dkok.

On the bright side, if you buy more than 250 lbs at a time, FW sends you the shipment for free. )

There isn't an easy way to get FW stuff cheaper than the going rate for new stuff. You're basically praying you can find someone who had the money to buy a ton of DKoK, and now doesn't want it, or needs money.

But, it does take quite a bit of time to clean and assembe FW pieces before painting. A lot of my group works on a squad at a time, and usually can afford another squad when they get one finished.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

I am in the same boat (starting DKOK army) but since I have plenty of other armies to play. I will be doing it as a side project for giggles.... This does bring up one question for me. Is there a codex type army list for DKOK? Maybe in a FW publication or are the simply a cosmetic change ( a very cool one) and you use IG list. Thanks ahead of time for any help.

Oh and I will state the obvious.... You can find some of the DKOK stuff you are looking for on Ebay. Hopefully save you a little coin her and there.

On the bright side, FW no longer sell the SQUADS of death riders or ogryns - you have to get them separately.

Still, with FW prices, it isn't hard to get to £250 - this is the downside as well as the upside.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

It looks like biting the bullet and buying over 250 is the way to go. I'm all for buying a little at the time but I hate the idea of paying that massive shipping cost individually if I'm planning on buying a full force all in all.

Anyone know an old lady who needs her attic cleaned out and who's son worked for Forge World? =)

This. Forgeworld don't supply discount retailers and people rarely sell whole armies worth of forgeworld models. You'll just need to be patient and save your money up like.. Well everyone else in the world.

The FW Imperial Armor Volume 5 has a codex army list for them.

If you gang up with a few people from the states who buy from FW, you could get over 250 and then only have to handle shipping each of the orders inside usa - maybe that's cheaper, and maybe you find other people who would regularly order at FW. A german hobby board has an extra sticky for one order from FW every month.

"We train young men to drop fire on people, but their commanders won't allow them to write "feth" on their airplanes because it's obscene!" (Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now)

And you know what's funny? "feth" is actually censored on a forum about a dystopia where the nice guys are the ones who kill only millions of innocents, not billions.
