I have seen it anywhere, and as my friend play tau, I am making a suitible objective marker.......of my troops evicerating a firewarrior for lolz.
But I ran across a problem, what colour is tau blood?

Blue with a hint of purple.

In Fire Warrior it is variously descibed as cyan in colour but logically it would be some kind of red when oxygenated et cetera, like human blood.

Tau blood is presented as ranging from blue to purple/cyan

It would only be logical if tau were evolved from earth mammals, but they aren't. Human oxygenated blood is red due to the presence of an iron complex used in oxygen transport.

The tau are presented as having a different metal complex to transport oxygen round their blood, IIRC copper (this isn't very far fetched as some animals on Earth also use this method)

Actually they have Cobalt in their blood instead of Iron which doesn't make sense considering the colour.

I tried the search feature, but nothing really came up. mostly just stories of people killing tau 'covered in blood', I may not have done it right though

That makes more sense, since copper only makes blue blood.

There was a topic a few months back. Copper goes green when oxidised and cobalt goes blue/green... So i suppose Cobalt is better than Copper.

Actually thats a little wrong (in that its true but not relavent). Animals that use copper as an oxygen transport agent have it in a complex called hemocyanin, which changes from colourless to blue when oxygenated.

copper complex chemistry is actually rather interesting, with many of the most vibrant dyes being produced by using copper containing Phthalocyanines.

So most likely if they actually used copper their blood would appear blue if wounded, due to metals having set reactive routes and patterns.

So Tau could be see through?

Well you figure part of the reason light skinned humans appear as varying shades of pink if the blood near the surface of the skin causes the coloration. To substantiate this human with very low oxygen levels in there blood; due to genetic defect or just not breathing; have a blue hue to their skin.
