Hi there abit of a noob here, sorry i mean alot! My question is, do black templar Crusader squads have a sergeant in them or not? in the BT codex its just says 5-10 initiates but in the space marine codex it says the same tough it shows a table with 4 marines and 1 sergeant. do BT have them or not?

Thanks in advance!!

BT work differently from C:SM. If your codex says you don't have them, you don't have them. Just like DA/GK storm shields are 4++ only in close combat instead of 3++ all the time and BA captains can't (IIRC) take artificer armour where as C:SM captains can.

What Wizard says is (sadly) true.

From a fluff perspective, this is explained by the Black Templars ignoring the Codex Astartes and just fighting alongside their friends. Any "sergeant" would be inducted into the Sword Brethren and thus wouldn't fight alongside the initiates any more.

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

Look again, the Power Armored and Terminator HQ Squads get sergeants. Otherwise, no sergeants for Templars.

If you want to give a teleport homer to someone in a Black Templar list, you're limited to Chaplains, Marshals, Techmarines, and Members of Power Armored HQ squads that you gave Terminator Honors.

Best of luck!

Might want to also check the FAQs DA and BT got their wargear updated. No more crappy Storm Shield.

Holy crap, FnP Terminators. DAs are slightly more viable now with that update. If they ever update the actual codex, we might be all screaming cheese again...

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.
