Hi all, I'm after a few tips, I've got loads of GW plastic scenery kits built but I'm having trouble finding the enthusiasm to get them painted. So I'm looking to spray them but I'm not sure where to start. I don't mind shelling out for a few different colours but I would like tips/ideas/examples from you guys. Mainly on what colours to use and what techniques/patterns to use.

The kits I've got;

for 40k,

2 x bastions
landing pad
defence lines
ruins
fortress of redemption

for Fantasy,

3 x watch towers
2 x chapels
manor house
walls and fences

Any tips greatly appreciated!

I primed mine Krylon/Rustoleum Camo Green, drybrushed with a lighter green, did some weathering and powders and called it done. Not sure what brand over there would make camoflage spraypaints.

The weathering looks good, did you use FW powder or pastels?

I think that sort of thing would be more than suitable for most of the 40k stuff.

We can get the 'Army Painter' sprays over here so I'll pop out tomo and get a few greens, I think I'll prob have to get some big decorating brushes for the dry brushing.

I used weathering powders from AIM products, though Forgeworld/MIG would be equivalent.

I just did the defence lines chaos black (spray) then dry brushed codex grey with a white highlight, also seen them camo green with highlights too.

As for ruins black base coat spray then dry bush greys getting lighter, or you can give a random light spray with grey, then just dry brush some highlights of white or light grey.

When you can't see the drunk guy at a party, you should look for the nearest mirror.
