The blogger Ryuichi Ikeda has been taking a coca cola vending machine about 20 days every month, which seems his working day. Now the number of photos (and the blog posts) are about 1,300, in over 5 years.

Awesome.

Blog seems a bit strange, but when you get down to why he got the idea you kind of figure out how he stuck with it for so long I guess.

Also it was kind of surprising to see that there's a tetris-like game based on the photos he took.

That is pretty epic. It shows true dedication...to what I have no fething idea.

That man might need to go take pictures out of the same mental institution window for the next five years...

Ive been to Japan like 5 times, I loved all the vending machines! I went to the Sapporo brewery as well, and those guys make booze almost as good as we do.

We should sell booze out of vendors like those guys.. look here is a picture!

That guy needs to start ignoring the coke vendor!

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

A lot of Japanese beer is pish. The happoshu type stuff isn't really beer, it's kind of water with flavourings and alcohol mixed in.

The better stuff is a decent lager. I like Sapporo Black Label and Yebisu and Suntory Premium Malts.

There is a growing micro-brewery scene which regrettably I haven't found the chance to tap into yet. Mrs Kilkrazy doesn't really understand the importance of good beer in life. It's taken me 16 years to wean her off Asahi Super Dry.

There are a few brands from the majors which are brewed in more of a bitter or porter style, but don't have the depth and complexity of British bottled or cask beers.

If you want British style bitter on tap, there are a very few pubs in Tokyo serving London Pride, etc, and the Hub chain's Hub bitter is okay.

Some American microbrews (I mean real microbrews, not Sam Adams) are amazing compared to a lot of the big european beers, so shove it European breweries.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

If I lived in a country where everything could kill me, I'd be pretty good at drinking beer too!

As for there being no good beer in the USA, all I have to say is "Fat Tyre" and "Boulevard Wheat."

If you need me, I'll be busy wiping the layers of dust off my dice.

I was talking about the general brands m8 Heineken doesn't count btw, cause a proper dutchman wouldn't toch that catpiss with a 10 foot stick.

Also, TV would have me believe you suck at drinking it, since everyone on TV seems to get wasted off a single six-pack for some reason :\ Though I doubt (hope) that's not the truth.

If I remember correctly, the FCC prohibits and depiction of alcohol that endorses abusive or dangerous consumption.

So, you can show a burnt out alcoholic cop on broadcast television, but not hip, successful business man with a loving family that also happens to go on a bender every now and again.

Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh.
