Whats better tyranids or space marines as i like both but dont know which one to collect

They are very different armies.
Nids are a horde army
Space Marines are an elite army with lots of different codiciis.

well...wall is nice because no one can see in...but roof keeps the rain off our heads.

Tyranids are MC / horde army with lots of weak models and a couple really powerful big ones, no vehicles, better at CC than ranged.

Space marines are the opposite.


It is complete personal preference.

Space marines are better. not only are they a better codex you don't have to worry about your models being a pain in the butt to build.

Plus everyone else is playing them come join us!

Just don't play blood angels or space wolves. they are armies based of that Twilight movie with wolves VS vampires.

It all depends on how their used. Personally as a Space Marine player I always have trouble against Nids but that's because my army is mostly a CC force. In my view Nids are one of the tougher armies to face down though if they are used correctly. It's hard to prioritize attack against them because every unit is so damn lethal in close combat. But hey that's just my experience.

Do SW REALLY need anymore stick? I mean REALLY? Maybe im biased here having just picked up a SW Battleforce, but seriously why Twilight, of all the vampire/werewolf mythos why does everyone decide to associate them with Twilight. Not once have I seen someone compare them to Christopher Lee's Dracula or the werewolves of the Werewolf:The Forsaken Mythos. Now admitedly I havent read the BA codex so I dont know about their fluff, but the Space Wolves "Werewolves" seem a tad bit different to Twilight, something to do with the cold blooded, animalistic, rage fueled rending of their foes...

well i have made and named a space marine chapter the night hawks. The colour scheme is black and gold and they look pretty cool but the tyranids MCs have good fire power and armour save

In terms of tabletop power? I'd say Tyranids are probably better off than BT's/DA's and GK's. Clearly inferior to Blood Angels and Space Wolves. Probably about on par, though trickier to use and less flexible), with the basic Space Marine book.

Other than that, it's all up to what you like.

Night hawks would be space marines and shrike would be in it.
If the tyranid army was mainly CC would it be best if the space marines are spread out across the table

Seriously though, Nids have a sweet dex, but are missing some key models at this point.
Space Marines are the poster boy army, and if you don't like modeling challenges or waiting for updates, this is the place to go!
