I've been playing Daemonhunters part time for a few years now. This list is pretty much the pinnacle of what I've achieved as a 40k tactician.
Inquistor Lord
Psycannon
Termie armor
Psychic hood
Thunderhammer
(This guy brings the long range firepower and the late turn melee. He's my only guard against psykers too.)
2 Mystic
1 Familiar
2 Sage
3 Henchmen with Plasmaguns
(These make sure deep strikers think twice before deep striking in my face. 3 Plasmaguns are as brutal as they are effective.)
3 Daemonhost
(Because I have three, I can always count on 1 of these guys to do something useful.)
3 Deathcult Assassin
Eversor Assassin
(These units have synergistic effect. If they gang up on a non assault squad, they can usually take it down before they have a chance to strike.)
(Eversor's meltabombs make for a nasty turn 1 assault on stationary vehicles.)
10 Stormtroopers
2 Plasma
Sarge, plasma pistol, Bolter, Auspex
(The army's core. They hold the home objectives, and kill all the enemy models. Auspex has never actually been needed, but I know as soon as I stop taking it, someone's going to infiltrate on me.)
10 Stormtroopers
2 Melta
Sarge, Power wep
(The aggressive squad. They go forward, and try to stop any tanks/walkers from insta-killing the daemonhost.)
Overall, the biggest asset for this list is that most new players have never even seen some of the units I take, and even older players have forgotten about things like Eversor's Combat drugs, and Daemonhost teleporting.
Any comments?
