I'm helping my buddy design and put together his Marine army and I'm looking at some of the custom panels/doors from Scibor. They give sizes to the pieces, but without owning a Marine army myself, I really don't know where I could use the pieces. I'll put up some pics of the stuff I'm looking at with the dimensions, and if someone could fill me in on where they would go on which vehicleas, I would be most grateful.

47 x 50 mm door panel

22 x 39 mm panel

26 x 34 mm angled panel (assuming this is for the side angled inset towards the front of a LR)

76 mm long panel

I have ideas where most of this would go on a LR, but am unsure without having one, and don't really know what would work for things like preds, rhinos, razors, vindis, etc. Again, any help I could get would be awesome.

First one, no idea, maby as a top hatch of a rhino?

second one, each pannel is one half of a rhino hatch?

third fits at the front on a landraider, in the recess

fourth looks like it fits alont the top of a landraider

Edit: the scond one also looks like it copuld fit where the frag launchers go, on the front tracks of the land raider

Those are my best guesses as well...I guess I'll have to just get the vehicles first and try to measure it out from there.

I've been using the last two. Here's what you get.

The side inserts don't fit precisely and don't give an even gap on each side. Make sure you have enough glue that it stays liquid for a while so you can slide it around until you are happy with the final position. I also had to green stuff in air bubbles on each piece and the thickness of the piece is not uniform.

I didn't have any air bubble issues with the long pieces, you probably want to sand down the sides carefully since they can be uneven but the border detail is very close to the side. The one on the right side of the land raider will be a tight fit between the raised area for the rear hatch and the side of the vehicle

From some quick measurements the 22x39 panel is just an odd size. It is too tall to work for a land raider door (It will extend above the top of the door, but fits width wise), it is almost the exact height of the rhino body (minus the tracks), but now quite the full width of the door.

The 50x47 is also odd. The only place I can see putting it is on top of a rhino, but it will hang over the part in back where the body narrows. You could also put it on a land raider to completely cover one of the side doors.

Hi,

I've a quick look through my tanks and to be honest the 1st and 2nd ones wouldn't really fit anywhere without some chopping. The 1st would only really fit on top of a rhino but even that would need work. Probably better on scenery.

The 3rd has obviously been sloved (with a very cool example) but they are easily the best pieces, I'd probably use these myself.

The 4th ones I don't really like (not even on a LR, soz) again I'd use on scenery but thats about it.

So basically size wise, they won't fit.

Need more 's in my life!

Thank you both for the leg work After some careful eyeballing of pics and such, I had kind of came up with the same conclusion on the first two pieces, but it's good to hear some first hand experiance. I think I might still have him get one pack of each when he buys the vehicles, and play around with greenstuff, bits, and files to see if I can't make them work in some fashion as they are just simply too cool looking imo I'm very glad to see the pic of the long panels as it confirms the fear I had that they were too thick to simply glue to the top for the look I want. If I get really brave, I might look and see if it's possible to cut out the LR beneath them so I can mount them flush, which I think would look good.

the 22x39 are definately made to fit the landraider tracks, where you can see tracks in Iskandurs 2nd pic, I just re measured my land raider to check

Good point, that hadn't even occurred to me.

Hmmm, I'll have to see if I can find a way to modify them or the LR to use them elsewhere as this will probably be on a Crusader/Redeemer...although we are talking about magnetizing so we can swap out between all three patterns so this might also be a convienient way to conceal the magnets when using a vanilla LR.
