Well I've been working on these off and on since the Hornet came out and they are in the final stages of painting. I just have to tidy up around the paintwork, apply decals and start weathering the vehicles with some streaks (like on Fast or passenger jets). I have gone for Saim Hann kinda feel without going all out on the red. Oh, and I've just noticed I still haven't put water effect on the gems. Constructive CC is welcome as I'm not 100% sure that I'm happy and feel like something is missing. A lot of the colours were airbrushed on and to continue the theme from my 'Nids the Seer council have chamelion paint on them, and the purple is self shading.

Hornet

Wave Serpent (I have 2 and they are going to get some weapon swaps to turn them into Falcons)

Jetbikes

Warlocks

Farseer/Autarch

Thanks in advance for any helpfull comments.

It's an unusual colour scheme, but I think you've pulled it off well. The Hornet and the Wave Serpent look fab.

Out of interest, how did you get the metallic purple shade you have going on there? It looks excellent.

I don't care for the yellow cockpit on the Hornet. I think it's too solid/bright of a color and clashes with the rest of the tank. The yellow does not look so bad on the Warlock bikes where it looks to be a far more subdued shade of yellow. It also works on the red drivers where the red helps to keep it from being one bright point standing out.

Hornet's looking good, gotta love that fw eldar! I will however second the thoughts about the yellow on the cockpits. I do really like the use of de jetbikes for craftworld eldar. Overall the colour scheme is solid and definitely a step apart from the codex ones. Do you have a name or fluff for your new eldar group?

I think the yellow glass/cockpits/visors is actually quite striking and well pulled off. I also dig the DE bikes. They might actually be looted as I like the models better than the eldar.

well done dude.

I have to agree on the point of the yellow cockpit, it just doesnt look right to me, maybe if it was shaded had a reflection it might look better, then the solid yellow. While i do like the use of the DE bikes, i have one or two points in my mind to point out. For one, i think the holes in the canopy should be filled in for craftworlders to give them a sleeker look, and the Blade veins still look like just that, blades, maybe alter them to look more like the craftworld style 'wings' you see on their vehicles. But ofcourse, while thats what i might do, If your happy with it like that, then have fun with it!

Oh stop complaining, its for the greater good... Now get in the box!

I agree with the others on the yellow cockpit. Considering the metallic silver, did you use a metallic colour washed with Leviathan Purple?

Cheers, I will run a wash of gryf sepia over the cockpits like I have with the jetbike helmets. I didn't do too much to the bikes as I wanted them to stay quite agressive and wild.

The purple is a cosmic sparkle by auto air colours bought from custompaintshop.co.uk and the blue on the warlocks is one of the colour shifts.

Thanks for the pointers, and I will get them sorted soon.
