Kinda new to 40k and was just wondering if the orks had any space fleets and how well do they match compared to other races ?

Orks have space ships... they are kinda made from junk. Or they are built out of asteroids and spacehulks.
They match differently to different races but they are pretty capable mainly due to their size.

Orks mostly use passing space hulks for interstellar transportation, but they do sometimes build up large-scale fleets that can be surprisingly deadly. The most common activity I've read regarding Ork space fleets has been pirate activity, they seem very into that.

The best way would be to check out GW website and go to the specialist games section, battlefleet gothic has a good overview of the standard ships in the different race's fleets.

Relictors: 1500pts

its safe to say that relictors are the greatest army a man , nay human can own.

Ork fleets arnt bad they aren't grate but its also amzing that they dont fall apart. There is a story with an Eldar Pirate lord Named Alanthrasil Swiftblade who was pinned up against an orc fleet while he was attacking an Inqusition ship and the orc fleet whiped out everything but Alanthrasil was saved by an Inquisiter. So they are pritty good.

Apparently an Ork fleet wiped out a Tyranid splinter fleet fairly easily at one point.

The thing with Ork fleets is you don't know they are there until they start moving, and by that time it almost to late. "Hey, Captian that Asteroid Feild just started moving."

That is until they come up against Space Wolves who just ram them and Blood Angels who shoot the hell out of them even when their ship is crippled and takes another year to make it to the nearest star port in imperial spaec

Currently debating whether to study for my exams or paint some Deathwing

So I'm guessing that Ork fleets are in fact powerful ? Does only count if they are in big numbers ?

Yes, only in big numbers.

Ork "Fleets" are typically one or two spacehulks, surrounded by a large number of Roks (hollowed out astroids with massive engines attached), and if the orks are lucky, some looted vessels.

Not entirely true, Orks have their own actual ships, too. See BFG for examples.

Ork ships have the most powerful tractor beams and shields, as well as some of the best teleportation technology. This allows them to easily board enemy vessels for capture, and to, well, ram enemy ships as well (a favored Ork tactic).

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.
