As I'm preparing to start my tyranid army, I got hold of 5 Temagants to do some test painting.
Here's how it turned out:



And charging my Iron Warriors:


The body of the Gants is pretty sloopy painted considering that it's 3 layers and 2 washes, layers where mainly so I could get the white pretty good. I justify the fact that the bodies are pretty sloopy by saying: Look at the scales instead ;P With 40 of these on the board people will end up looking at the scales anyway. The main thing I'm thinking about is if I should paint the guns too. If I do, they'll probably be green. So any advice or critisism is welcome!

I actually think that's a really great job. They look nice and dirty.

You could try a bone color for the guns. That would be earthy and complement the white and purple nicely.

@Ifurita, hm, it would be subtle colour change, but still something to make the guns stand out alittle. I'll probably think more about this when I get my first Warrior Brood, seeing how thier weapons are abit bigger than the Gants.

I for one would like to see a little bit of that green you've used on the tongues elsewhere on the model for contrast. I think it would be break up the white and purple and add that bit of extra detail. Of course with mass units like gants i can understand if you'd prefer to save it for the bigger beasties. Liking the work so far.
