Okay, I'm more of a collector than a player, meaning I have a huge variety of units at my disposal. I've played a few low value games so far with these guys, and now I've got the opportunity to play a much larger game! It's a 2000 game with a mate of mine, and he's using one of his 3 armies (necrons, chaos marines, tau), so I've had to build a list to try and deal with one of these dudes. Any C&C welcome.

HQ:
Warboss Grimskragga
- PK
- TL-Shoota
- Bosspole
- Cybork Body

Big Mek Nutsnippa
-KFF

Elites:
-Nobz x6
-Painboy
-Big Choppa x2
-PK
-Kombi-Rokkitz x2
-Kombi-Skorcha
-Bosspole
-Waaaagh! Banner
-'Eavy Armor

Troops:
'Ard Boyz Squad Alpha (x10)
-Stikkbombs
-Rokkit Launcha
-Nob
-PK
-Bosspole
TRUKK
-Wreckin' Ball
-Red Paint Job
-Boarding Plank

'Ard Boyz Squad Legume (x10)
-Stikkbombs
-Rokkit Launcha
-Nob
-PK
-Bosspole
TRUKK
-Wreckin' Ball
-Red Paint Job
-Boarding Plank

Shoota Boyz x20
-Big Shootas x2
-Nob
-PK
-Bosspole

Slugga boyz x20
-Big Shoota
-Rokkit Launcha
-Nob
-PK
-Bosspole

Fast Attack:
Warbikers x3
-Nob
-PK
-Bosspole

Deffkopters
-TL-Rokkits
-Buzzsaw x1

Heavy Support:
Killa Kans x3
-Rokkits x2
-Grotzooka x1

Deff Dread
-Rokkitz
-KMB
-Armor Plates

Battle Wagon
-'Ard Case
-Red Paint
-Stikkbomb chukka
-Grabbin Klaw
-Zzap Gun
-Big Shoota x3

Which brings me to 1890 Points or so. Now my points of contention with my list are:
1. The Warbikers
Three of 'em isn't doing much other than providing fleeting cover, I was considering replacing them with 20 Stormboyz, or more bikers (I like bikes).
2. The Kans
Kans are awesomesauce, but I was thinking of doing more in the way of ranged support, maybe replace the zooka with another rokkit?
3. Lack of Elites
This is another area I feel needs work. I have 15 Lootas I COULD add here, or should I flesh that nob squad out to 10?

You could consider making the Nobs cyborks?

Unfortunately, you can only have one squad of 'Ardboyz per army.

...one amongst untold billions.

Aw nerts, I see that now, "One mob per army may be upgraded to 'Ard Boyz".

Ragh! I suppose I can stick the 20 'Ard Boyz a Battlewagon, I really like the numbers there...

Maybe...

Battlewagon
-'Ard Case
-DeffRolla
-Lobba
-x2 Rokkit Launchas
-Armor Plates
-Red Paint Job

That's around 160 points, if I did that right. Nice and durable, gets em into da fight that much quicker and it's dead shooty. Arg, I REALLY wanna beat him this time

Taking Ard case disallows units to assault out of BWs. That kills the purpose of BWs.

You are generally moving your bw the full 13 to get your units in range, or you are moving to deffrolla enemy units. The most effective configuration is to go cheap on the BW, give them a single BS to prevent weapon destroyed results changing into immobilized results. Rokkits are a waste of points because of the low BS of BW gunners.

Ard boyz are pretty meh. If you want a really hard unit that dishes out a ton of damage, 15 burna boyz does the job for about the same price as 19 ard boyz with a nob. Or you can carry your nob unit in that BW.

As for your nob unit and deffdread, since you have a warboss and big mek, you can take them in the troop slot. This makes the nobz scoring units, and frees up elite and heavy slots. Deffdreads are terrible shots. Taking a KMB and Rokkit on it is not very competitive. A scorcha+DCCW or 2x scorcha is the most competitive way of using them.

There is no point in giving the warboss TL-shoota or a bosspole. Any unit he joins will already have a nob with a bosspole. Give him a squig for +1 attack.

Storm boyz tend to perform better then bikes. That being said, if you want to take a unit of bikers, you need to up their numbers.

Take advantage of killer kan's BS3. Yes take rokkits on all of them. Extremely easy to convert OR you can order the rokkit army from ebay or bitz barn.

Those are just little things and minor adjustments. The main problem with your list is that it lacks focus. Half your force gets left in the dust, (Boyz, dread, kans) while the other half are either fast movers or being transported in something. If you want to be truly competitive, focus on one aspect. Either mechanize your force and take out the slow elements, or beef up your boyz numbers and play a horde style army.

Your list seems to have some focus issues to it to be honest, you have a lot of fast units and then you have the kans and dread. If it were me I would choose either to go with a full trukk/ biker/ copter/ battle wagon fast attack list or with a full slogging list that may utilize some trukks or copters as out riders. I only say this because I can see your small mob of bikes being destroyed easy along with your boyz in trukks getting shot down before they hit the front line and then just having your foots sloggers getting shot down after that. The list I play at the moment has 3 trukks and 2 battlewagons with a couple of copter squads and just random foot sloggers simply because I havnt purchased the extra battlewagon/ trukks. The trukks are filled with shoota boys, nob w/ PK and pole and they themselves have rams and planks and the wagons are filled with KFF big mek/ PK boss. The mek leads a squad of burnas (if you haven't tried using 15 burnas in battle wagon for anti infantry then you need to) and the boss leads a group of nobs. Something to think about but from my experience splitting up the focus of your army when playing as orcs is not a good idea.

Well, I've pretty much confirmed that he's going to be using the Necron force, what would you suggest I get my focus as? I've got about 10 Burna Boyz already, and can adapt 5 more into with bitz I've got sitting around (burning things is always fun too). That being said, what's the ideal loadout for the Meks? Or should I forgo the meks entirely and just fill the spot with another burna? In a squad of of Burnas (15) I can take up to 3 Meks, and I do love KMB (Gets Hot! is always good fo a larf).

Also, I'm thinking of just going horde style, what changes would you suggest to my list?

There are two competitive horde styles.

Greentide and Kan Wall.

Greentide has a ton of boyz screened by gretchins. I like to run 2x units of 30 gretchin and 4x units of 30 boyz and 3x3 kannon batteries. You can then use just about anything to fill the rest of the points depending on what you play.

In a Kan wall list, You have 9x killer kans supported by 2x big meks with kff. Throw in some anti tank with things like lootas and deffcopters, then cram as many boyz as you possibly can into the list.

Both lists are fairly competitive. In 1850 games, both lists will take 120+ bodies.

Hmmm, Kannons eh? Those are someting I've yet to try out; might be interesting!

Cannock

Warboss is good, maybe add a attack squig for 6 attacks on the charge

You don't need kombi rokkits on the Nobz, just kombi skorchas. Do your Nobz like this:

Painboy
Nob w/ big choppa
Nob w/ big choppa & bosspole
Nob w/ big choppa & waaagh! banner
Nob w/ big choppa & kombi skorcha
Nob w/ power klaw

Of course, throw on cybork bodies or else they will not last 5 minutes.

Ard Boyz are overcosted plus you can only have one per army. Trukk Boyz squads are rubbish as Trukks are paper thin and Orks need numbers, 12 won't last long at all.

List basically starts to fall apart as you need a whole Ork army, what I mean is whole foot whole fast whole mech etc. Not a mix as it doesn't work. Either go all mech, all fast or all foot.
