Rites of battle says it counts for leadership, morale, pinning but not psychic tests.

A Psychic hood uses the model's leadership to cancel psychic powers.

If You have Belial and a Libby, can the libby use Belieal's rites of battle for a psychic check?

I would like that to be the case but would say no as it is not specified in the description of the ability.

Any other points of view on this matter?

Since the Hood seems to be a wargear ability and not a test, I would say no. The rites of battle wording is pretty specific to what it covers it would seem that the hood cant gain the captian/master's LD for it.

A canny notion, and I could be wrong. I would say if rites of battle was worded something like "all models may use his ld value as their own" then he'd undoubtedly get to use rites for the hood.

Someone asking a DA question means someone is actually playing them! Hooray FAQ!

But no since it is not a test per se but a number added to your leadership value; coupled with the fact they specifically exclude psychic tests, I would say you cannot use rites of battle

-Any terrain containing Sly Marbo is dangerous terrain.
-Sly Marbo once played an objective mission just to see what it was like to not meet every victory condition on his own.
-Sly Marbo bought a third edition rulebook just to play meat grinder as the attacker.
-Marbo doesn't need an Eldar farseer as an ally; his enemies are already doomed
-Sly Marbo was originally armed with a power weapon, but he dropped it while assaulting a space marine command squad just so his enemies could feel pain
-Sly Marbo still attacks the front armor value in assault, for pity's sake.

That's what I figured, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

And the new DA are tits! They are extremely good. Got a test game in with them and they crushed a tournament Chaos list.

Yeah, a psychic hood's test is not a Ld, Morale or Pinning test...all those are defined as rolling 2D6 and attempting to roll lower than the model's Ld value.

A Psychic Hood rolls 1D6 and adds it to the model's Ld value. So Rites of battle does not help at all.
