Wow, both of those models are outstanding, I especially love the owl, rarely see any on a table top (well none at all for me).

LOVE the Giant Owl, and wonder where I could fit it into my existing armies...
Empire - as a counts as Griffin?
WoC - as a counts as Manticore?
Too nice to NOT think about getting!
Anyone know how 'built in' to the model the "elf maiden" is?

Great birds - the elf gal is hard to see but doesn't look that impressive. Still, a giant owl is the kind of thing you could build an entire army around.

I LIKE them all, but i LOVE that owl.
Honestly, though, I think the presence of the rider ruins it. I think it's a beauriful sculpt by itself.
If I were going to plunk down the $$ for it, I'd chuck the rider in my bits box.

I have the eagle and the owl, and the detail is amazing. The griffon is off to me, though... the pose of the body seems to indicate the wings would be folded, or at least folding or unfolding, not fully extended straight up. I LOVE the griffon's head and body, though. The final straw is that I play WE, not HE, so no griffon for me. Unless.... as a general excuse to make the purchase, is there a fantasy creature that is a wingless griffon? Not WFB necessarily, just a fantastic creature. Hmmm...

Are you kidding? That's probably the best griffin I've ever seen, and the only one that actually looks like the animals the monster is made from and evokes the spirit griffins are supposed to convey. I'd want to replace the rider, but da-yum.
The eagle is of course great too. They're all fine representations of their subject matter. But I feel like the owl accomplishes by it's novelty what the griffin does through it's superb characterization and the eagle does through it's sense of motion. The owl's not bad at all, not even less than good. But I can't help but feel like it's not quite as excellent as the others.

Just a quick note, all those models have been sculpted by Pedro Fernández, if i'm not wrong. Nowadays, he's one of the best miniatures sculptors around the world.
You can see some pics of the green for the eagle on the Rafa Coll's blog:

Not at all jealous of you and Avariel The only thing that doesn't impress is the name of the dragon, Cang just doesn't do it for me. But the sculpt is pretty darn hot ps Thanks for those linkys Hoarmure Superb talent
